David Kitchen (0:35)

Welcome in, welcome in. It's the Week 12 Late-Round Fantasy Football Show, David Kitchen here, alongside JJ. JJ, how's it going, pal?

JJ Zachariason (0:45)

I'm good, I like that I'm just JJ. No, there's no last name.

David Kitchen (0:51)

It's Week 12, it's Week 12, shouldn't people?

JJ Zachariason (0:54)

I mean, they should, hypothetically, now, yes, because.

David Kitchen (0:57)

It's Week 12, I'm with JJ Zachariason at Late-Round QB on the socials.

JJ Zachariason (1:03)

You wanna do, you wanna, you know, we did have Brian Drake on Perspectives this week, who is, was I not wrong when I said what I said on the show, how he is just like, you talk to him and you're like, you were made for radio, dude. Like you were made, not because I think he's unattractive, but because.

David Kitchen (1:18)

Yeah, no.

JJ Zachariason (1:21)

His voice is so, so good for radio. Like it's just so good, and he's very good at presenting his information that way. Me, I am not a radio person. In fact, more people have said that my voice is annoying than not through the years. So I'm probably not even a podcast person, to be honest with you.

David Kitchen (1:39)

Holly, my wife, would make fun of me because she would come down whenever I was doing the midnight show back in the day for Sirius XM Fantasy. And there is like a different cadence that you use. Hey, welcome to Sirius XM Fantasy Football.

So doing that, and so sometimes even now, she'll go, hey, I'm David Kitchen, you know?

JJ Zachariason (2:05)

Well, I mean, to this day, Avery, my daughter, comes up to me and she says, what's up, everyone? It's JJ Zachariason. She still does it to me. She's just grown up literally with that cadence because I started the podcast about a year before she was born. So she does not know a life without her father being a podcaster.

David Kitchen (2:23)

Yeah. I mean, it is a tough situation when you're famous like you are, JJ. I get it. I get it.

JJ Zachariason (2:32)

That's definitely what I'm saying here.

David Kitchen (2:34)

Yeah. When you're everywhere, when your kid just turns on everything and they see you.

JJ Zachariason (2:42)

It's just funny because she's now in second grade, so she talks to her friends and I'm sure it comes up like what your parents do, that kind of thing. They don't know what their jobs are. You don't know what your parents did whenever they were. But she just thinks it's normal for dads to have podcasts, which to be fair, in 2025, half of dads probably have podcasts anyway, so she's probably not that wrong.

David Kitchen (3:06)

This came up this week where one of my daughters said, Dad, I was walking in with you and she listed her friend's name. She said, what is exactly your dad does? Because you've never really been able to explain it.

JJ Zachariason (3:21)

Yeah.

David Kitchen (3:22)

She goes, dad, what do I say? I was just like, say your dad is the COO of Late-Round Media and tune in. Yeah. lateround.com. I don't know.

JJ Zachariason (3:33)

lateround.com, baby. Just say go to lateround.com and they'll figure it all out.

David Kitchen (3:38)

That's right. All right. You can go to lateround.com and figure it out with the Patreon that we have. Come join our community. And here's the big push today. I need you to like the channel. I really need you to like the channel.

JJ Zachariason (3:54)

We are close.

David Kitchen (3:55)

We are like 80 people away from 10K.

JJ Zachariason (3:59)

Yeah.

David Kitchen (3:59)

So if you're watching this, please, please go like the channel and and or subscribe to the channel, like the video, leave a comment because we do. It's an interactive show. You know, we get down to nerdy on on the show.

So he said, who killed the QR? I need to bring the QR back for just for Patreon. We're no longer, you know, are for right now. We're we don't have a show sponsor. So that's why the QR code is gone. But maybe we just need to bring it back for just late round because do we do we really need to?
