Welcome in, welcome in. It's The Late-Round Fantasy Football Show sponsored by DraftKings. David Kitchen here alongside my ride or die, my road trip partner last week, the guy that I may have dominated in a baseball game that we play.

JJ, welcome to the show.

We're not going there. There's a, what's the game called? There's a game for Switch where you can play like mini games, like board game type stuff, and there's a baseball game in it. And Kitchen claims that he beat, we went into like, we couldn't score for innings upon innings, then he just got lucky.

**David Kitchen** (1:12)
But who did score at the very end?

**JJ** (1:14)
He just got lucky. But no, it was a good weekend at the Expo. Got to see people we haven't seen in a minute, like the footballers, it was good to hang out with them. Got to see people that we see there each year. I got to see Gretsch too. Gretsch was another one that we hadn't seen in a minute.
But it was a great time to be able to get together and draft some teams. We were in the King's Classic this year in the other division, but we both drew the one-on-one and we had comparable builds out of that spot. Then we did the auction draft right after, so that was a lot of fun. So it was a good weekend all around.

**David Kitchen** (1:50)
Yeah, the auction draft was pretty intense. We had the number in my room, we had the number 10 auctioneer in the world, just had a competition.

**JJ** (2:00)
You did?

**David Kitchen** (2:02)
It was intense. I saw Shane Hallam on Twitter said, this is the most intense draft I had ever been a part of.
I have the same way. It was like three hours. So you're hanging on every player and you're checking your sheet and everything else. There's 14 teams in there with deep rosters, three wide receivers, three flex. And yeah, it was interesting. It was funny because our drafts went fairly similar for the snake draft. Oxydraft was pretty different. Yeah. As far as, and that just goes to show that oxydrafts are kind of like, it's, you know, oxydraft is the same because you have to read the room. Yeah. You have different strategies. It's, every room is different. All right. We do. Yeah.
I want to say, hold on. JJ said before the show, he's like, I'm going to surprise you with something.

Or I've got something that needs to be said. Okay. So I'm one of those people on the Internet that does read the comments, that does look at my mentions and I will gladly, you know, take in any criticism or jab back if you're going to troll.
You know, not in like a just more of like a fun sarcastic way at this point in my life. But I read the comments because there's a lot of good feedback from the comments, like genuinely. There's good feedback that are received via comments. People think that it's all trolling, it's bad for your mental health. I disagree. I think that it's people that are voicing their opinion about how a show goes and they say, hey, I didn't like this part. And it's like, okay, I might still do that thing, but I know that you don't like it and maybe other people feel the same way. There was one piece of feedback from last week's show episode. I don't know if you know about this Kitchen, but I'd like to address it and I've actually written a statement that I'm going to read.

Or this particular situation, okay? First, I'm going to put my phone on focus because for some reason it wasn't, all right.
A statement regarding last week's news item about Sam Laporta.
On last week's Late-Round Fantasy Football Show, my co-host and COO, David Kitchen, had a news item about Sam Laporta recovering from a microdyssectomy. Immediately after, rather than responding with a take to that news item, I immediately started talking about the Falcons quarterback job. I'd like to go on record and say that I was wrong and I apologize. Rather than responding individually to the countless comments, social media mentions, and emails, I'd just like to go on record and say that I had a 30-second period where I was completely lost. And there were three main reasons as to why I was lost. First, as many of you know, I was sick last week. My brain wasn't functioning the way it typically does. And that led to me not fully paying attention to what was going on. Second, my co-host was attempting to pronounce the word microdyssectomy before handing it off to me. And that really threw me off. I'll be speaking to David Kitchen separately on that matter so it doesn't happen again.
