The Rebuilt Temple - Part 2

We see Daniel predicting the temples are being rebuilt, and there was someone after Daniel that did something similar. He desecrated Zerubbabel's temple, his name was Antiochus Epiphanes.

But here we are in a new month. Fall is officially upon us, or at least the leaves are changing in the Chicago area. And I know many of you live all over the country and all over the world, and maybe you can't make it to Chicago, but we have a beautiful place here. We live out about an hour out of the city. So people usually say Chicago, you know, it's dangerous. And in many places it is, but we're way out in the suburbs. But it is, I think, a beautiful time of the year. And think about the seasons. I think we're in a season in this world, in an end times, let's say, corollary to end times events. I believe we're very near the beginning of the end times. So the season to me is like all the leaves have fallen off the trees and the rapture is about to happen and the tribulation period. So how do we prepare? How can we as Christians be ready? I don't believe we're going through the tribulation. Now, if you haven't put your faith in Jesus Christ, you will be going through the tribulation, which is terrible.

But those that have accepted Jesus by faith, why do we need to study this? I think it's so we know the seasons and the times. It will motivate us to be working hard for Christ. And also if it's in the Bible, we should know it, right? The whole council of God. Today we're talking about rebuilding the temple. This is something that the Bible clearly teaches. It teaches it in Revelation 11

We are going to Matthew 24 today, Daniel 9, 2 Thessalonians 2

And so these are clear teachings in the Bible. And those that don't believe in our viewpoint of end times, a dispensational viewpoint, they have a hard time trying to put all of these pieces together, or they have to say it's all allegory, or it all was fulfilled right after Christ. None of that works, none of that fits. What fits is a view that the Lord's return is imminent in the air. He'll capture the church, he'll take out the church, rapture the church, and then a seven year tribulation period will occur. Jesus returns at the end of that and starts a thousand year millennial reign on the throne of David, on this earth. That to me all makes sense. Now, Revelation talked about measuring the temple of God, and leaving out the court of the Gentiles. So maybe it does fit. Maybe they'll leave the Alaska Mosque up. They'll build the temple. They have the St. Anne's Churches just on the other side, so you have the three monotheistic religions all represented there. The whole world coming together for peace, right? By the way, I disagree with that. There's only one way, and that's Jesus Christ. There's only one way. You can't get to heaven through Muhammad. You can't get to heaven through any other way except for Jesus. He's the one way. So don't buy into that, but that's probably what will be used to create this one world religion.
