Charlie Berens (0:00)

All right, folks, welcome to the Bellied Up Podcast. I'm sitting here with my buddy, Myles.

Myles Montplaisir (0:03)

Hello, Charlie.

Charlie Berens (0:05)

Myles, where are we today?

Myles Montplaisir (0:06)

We are at the American Legion here in Moorhead, Minnesota.

Charlie Berens (0:10)

Post 21

Myles Montplaisir (0:11)

Post 21

Charlie Berens (0:12)

Post 21

Myles Montplaisir (0:12)

It's a great, it's a great post number, especially in the state of Minnesota, because you got Kevin Garnett.

Charlie Berens (0:22)

Oh, yeah. No, I was, I was thinking the exact same thing that you were.

Totally. I'm all about the KG.

Myles Montplaisir (0:30)

What I like about the American Legion here in Moorhead is they have bingo three and a half nights a week.

Charlie Berens (0:37)

Dude, I, I, I love this place. Every fact they hear about this place makes me love it even more.

First of all, three and a half. So it's, it's, what did he say?

Myles Montplaisir (0:48)

It was Tuesdays a week. And then Thursday, Friday, it's every other, every other.

Charlie Berens (0:52)

And you got a whole bingo board up here. Like this is this bingo board is bigger than the score box at my grade high school gym.

Jared (1:03)

Oh, yeah, I'm sure.

Charlie Berens (1:06)

I think it is.

SPEAKER_4 (1:07)

I mean, look at how big that is.

Myles Montplaisir (1:09)

It's very big. It's nice.

Charlie Berens (1:12)

Not every place gets a bingo scoreboard, dude.

Myles Montplaisir (1:15)

And also they hung all the events for the month in the rafters like a championship, which I love. And Charlie, we just missed it.

Charlie Berens (1:27)

I'm so bombed.

Myles Montplaisir (1:28)

Last Sunday, they had the Julie Lee dance party and Julie Lee is a polka band. And I tell you what, Charlie, I'm gutted for you because I know you like to cut a rug to some polka music.

Charlie Berens (1:42)

Now as you know, I've pulled my calf to in the polka.

SPEAKER_6 (1:45)

That's a true story.

Charlie Berens (1:46)

Yeah.

Myles Montplaisir (1:47)

I mean, what a lineup of events. Yeah.

Charlie Berens (1:50)

September 15th. We unfortunately, we also just know is that today? What's today?

Myles Montplaisir (1:56)

The sixties guys. They're playing oldies from sixties and seventies.

SPEAKER_6 (2:01)

We had the retirees lunch, the nine 11, five K great cause a celebration of life.

Myles Montplaisir (2:10)

Ronald rest in peace.

Charlie Berens (2:14)

These are past events, by the way. Let's look to the future for a future.

SPEAKER_6 (2:18)

We got the Saturday.

Charlie Berens (2:20)

Oh, we got karaoke night.

Myles Montplaisir (2:21)

Do we talk about that? Still retirees lunch in.

Charlie Berens (2:24)

Yep.

I said that one. But national POW, MIA, but the karaoke nights on September 18th, folks. That's I mean, and there's bingo. Bingo goes right into karaoke. Like it just, it's a feeder. It's like the river just feed it in the wind. The wolf river feed him right into Lake Winnebago. Right.

Myles Montplaisir (2:47)

I don't think enough people are doing combo bingo karaoke nights.

Charlie Berens (2:53)

No. And it's, that's a tragedy and that's what's wrong with this country, Myles. And I'm glad that the FW post 21 is holding it.

Myles Montplaisir (3:00)

I think the highlight coming up. There's a few here, Charlie, the pinnacle tournament.

Charlie Berens (3:07)

American Legion.

I said BFW. I always, that's my bad. We can't sit here. Do you, did you hear the hesitation as soon as it came out of my mouth? I was like, wait, did I just say that? I screwed up.

Myles Montplaisir (3:18)

You got too many tabs open in your brain, Charlie. Shut some down.

SPEAKER_5 (3:21)

What?

Myles Montplaisir (3:22)

That's what I'm going through right now.

Charlie Berens (3:23)

You got a lot of tabs open in your brain.

SPEAKER_5 (3:25)

Yeah.

Myles Montplaisir (3:26)

It's a, you know how, like, if you got your browser, I get the analogy. No, I mean, I'm trying to explain how bad it is for me right now. You know how, like at the top it says, like, you can see like facebook.com and, you know, all the other websites I can, I can tell you would have been specific with that. If you could have just, I have so many tabs open in my brain right now that you can't even see facebook.com. They're all squished together and you could just see like the logo of whatever website you can't even Can you catch them all?

Okay. And there's so many tabs that you can scroll back and forth on the tab section.
