Hey babes, it's Paris Hilton. So I was checking my points balance in the Hilton honors app the other day. And yeah, I've got about a billion, which feels excessive even for me. Just kidding. You can never have too many Hilton honors points. And I want to do something iconic this summer. So I'm giving away all my Paris points. Just find somewhere you've always wanted to stay, then go to my socials or Hilton's and tell me about it. Just make sure you're a Hilton honors member and I might be sending you Paris points. Because when you want points that make your summer even hotter, it matters where you stay.

The Psychology of Selling by Brian Tracy, Audiobook Summary and Review by StoryShots. People don't buy what you sell. They buy how they'll feel after they buy it.
Introduction. Most salespeople think rejection kills deals. They're wrong. What kills deals is the story you tell yourself about rejection before you even walk into the pitch. That's the thesis of The Psychology of Selling. Increase your sales faster and easier than you ever thought possible by Brian Tracy. Success in sales has almost nothing to do with product knowledge or closing techniques. It has everything to do with reprogramming the beliefs that sabotage you before you open your mouth.
Your Self-Concept Controls Your Income You don't earn what you're worth. You earn what you believe you're worth. Tracy calls this your self-concept, and it operates like a thermostat. If you see yourself as a $50,000 a year salesperson, you'll unconsciously sabotage any streak that pushes you toward $80,000. You'll slack off after a big month. You'll avoid the intimidating prospect. Your income always snaps back to match your internal image. Every time you underperform relative to your potential, you reinforce the belief that you're not capable of more. You can only rise to the level of your own self-image and not a dollar more. Knowing your ceiling exists is useless without knowing how to raise it.
Fear of rejection is a skill, not a personality trait. Fear of rejection is a learned response, which means you can unlearn it. Every no you've ever received taught your brain that rejection equals pain. Your subconscious now avoids sales scenarios where rejection is possible. The solution isn't to be confident. The solution is desensitization through volume. Make ten cold calls in a row. The first one terrifies you. The tenth one bores you. After twenty rejections in a day, your brain re-categorizes no from threat to data. You stop taking it personally because you've seen it's not about you. The more rejection you face, the less power it has over you. Fear is just repetition working in reverse.
People buy emotionally, then justify logically. Your prospect doesn't want a CRM system. They want to stop feeling overwhelmed by disorganized client data. They want to look competent in front of their boss. They want the quiet pride of knowing they fixed a problem that's been haunting them for months. The features are just the story they tell themselves after they've already decided to buy. Skip the laundry list of specs. Ask questions that surface what they're afraid of or frustrated by. Then show them the resolution.
The strongest closers don't sell products. They sell the emotional state the buyer is trying to reach.
