What up, my homies? Welcome back to part two of this freaking fire-fueled episode that is about rewriting the rules of how you actually show up in love, how you show up in life, and how you allow your worthiness to either show or be diminished. Now, if you're ready to stop playing small, which I hope is why you listen to Women of Impact, because you're not here to freaking play small. You're here to point your finger. Here's a bit of a baseball analogy. You want to point your finger and call your damn shot, and you step up to the play and you swing as hard as you can. Now, yes, you may miss. In fact, I've missed a thousand times, but you better believe when I freaking strike and my bat hits that ball, it is out of the damn park, and I feel like a freaking badass. And that is what life is about. That is why you're here, a woman of impact. That is why you're listening to this episode, because you are never looking to play small. And you know that I'm here to push you to play as big as your heart can freaking dream. And that is why in this part two, Thais Gibson, we are breaking down every little thing that you need to know in order to have the right relationship that you desire. Now we talk about the exact steps on how to rewire your brain and kick those damn destructive patterns to the curb that only try to hold you back. We all know them. We all try to deny that we have them. But ladies, once you start to admit them, rewire them, then you actually are able to change and make that change for good.

Now that change will then lead to how to build amazing, strong, resilient boundaries that don't actually make you feel bad, but make you feel damn proud that you are the person that actually cares enough to set a boundary and hold to it. You care enough about your own life. That, my homie, is how you end up building your confidence. And finally, we talk about why you're healing from all these toxic patterns that maybe you found yourself in is the ultimate key to actually attracting the love and the life that you know, deep down, you can actually achieve. This is where transformation, I'm not a big fan of that word, but I'm telling you, this is how this all happened. There's no freaking fluff. There's no freaking BS here. We just give you the tools that you need in order to own your life, step up to the downplay and take your shot.

Welcome to Women of Impact. I'm Lisa Bilyeu, the star of Raiden.

Okay. So question, what's the difference then? Because I bet you were all going to fall into this trap between needs and wants.

Thais Gibson (3:21)

I would say this. I would say that wants are, when we actually just break down the mechanics of it, wants are your conscious mind, they're your desires. Needs are your subconscious programs. They're showing up already in how you'll truly receive one. And then we have a second piece to this, which is when you have a want, you can think of a want as being a nice to have in a relationship as well, something that we're like, oh, that would be great. But a need is something that in a relationship, when we look at what it is that makes us truly feel connected, I always like to think of our needs as our lifeblood of relationships. Just like human beings to survive need oxygen and water and nourishment, relationships as an organism between two people need an exchange of needs. And if a relationship stops having people meet each other's needs, I mentioned this briefly earlier, but it would be the number one reason I would actually see people cheat in relationships minus our 10 percent of sex addiction, narcissistic personality disorder, 90 percent of our everyday people who enter into a loving relationship and cheat years later, be without exception. The biggest overarching theme was always, and I saw this with couple after couple after couple, was always that we didn't communicate our needs, how we need to feel loved. Our partner wasn't receiving or meeting them.
