The Night We Decided to Move (feat. Christopher)

Well, hey, y'all, hope you're having a wonderful day wherever you are. Happy Monday. Happy MNOF Monday. I am so excited for today's episode. You are gonna love it. It is kind of the restarting of the Christopher being on the podcast series where, especially in this season where, I mean, I'm going through a lot, but he's been right there, right next to me. Oh, it's just was really good and really needed for him to be on the podcast today. And we just had a blast recording. It's been, you know, a hobby of mine for a couple years, but I kind of forget that it's kind of a hobby of his too, and that means a lot to me. So I think he enjoys being on the podcast. I know, at least in the past, I've heard wonderful feedback of y'all enjoying him on the podcast, and he's just doing life together with me. And this move has been him there for every step of the way. And even on my worst days, he's still stood by me. And we've had all these moves for his job. And so to move kind of on our own accord, and possibly because I was the one that was like, it's time to go. That's what we unpacked today, because that's been a whole new thing for us. We've moved and it's been like, we're at the mercy of the company. And so for today, it's the beginning of a pretty long conversation that I want to have with y'all about how my heart is dealing with this self-inflicted move. And so for today, Christopher and I bring us back to, it's not really the beginning, but it's the beginning of this true Louisville journey in the sense that the day that we said, okay, we're moving to Louisville, what was that like? So that's what we get into today, and I hope y'all enjoy, and yay, we'll have them on again, don't worry. Okay, I don't even know how to start this, buddy. It's been so long.

Nice to meet you. I cannot believe it. It just feels like I don't even want to look back how far it's been, because that's been, if anybody's listened to the last two episodes, they know it's been a struggle to get here, but we're here. And where is here? Wait, hold on. Warm up your hands. One, two, three. Pretty good. Christopher, big question. Where do we live?

Okay, first of all, softy big question.

**Anna Duffy** (2:16)
But it just makes me so happy, buddy. And it just feels like so many parts of this podcast in the last two episodes or even before that was like scared to say it, scared to go ahead and just be honest about what's happening in our life and we're moving. And now we, I guess, live in the house. It kind of feels like we're still camping. But big question is, where do we live?

We live in Kentucky.

**Anna Duffy** (2:38)
Oh, we're Kentuckians again.

**Christopher** (2:41)

Me too. I can't believe it that we're here. And I can't believe that it's been so long since you've been on the podcast. So thanks for coming back.

I have to believe it's true.

OK, that's shocking. Oh, my goodness gracious, because we're at like a lot of podcast episodes and a lot with you on them. And we haven't been in Kentucky. So I am a whole new person, I feel like sitting here talking with you, looking at you, knowing that we got back from date night. How amazing. I mean, we're back to our little Kentucky footprint of the different restaurants we love. And currently, right now, we're in our living room. We're kind of figuring out what this house looks like, especially because, well, it's a construction zone, wouldn't you say?

**Christopher** (3:33)
Yeah, for those listening. So we bought this house and it's it's the house we hope to die in one day.

**Anna Duffy** (3:38)
Yep, we say that. Not morbidly. We just want to be here for a while.

**Christopher** (3:43)
It's not like I'm rushing this thing. But we bought this really cool house and it was built in like 1920s. And it's got about four acres. And it's just a really, really, really cool house. Plenty of room for the girls, like a basement that we're going to get to finish out eventually.
