Hey, happy Friday, everybody. Welcome to this week's long-form episode on Mining Stock Daily. Another two-segment episode for you. First, welcoming in, continued guest, Mr. Jared Dillian from The Daily Dirtnap, talking about his new book that's coming out, called The Awesome Portfolio. And we go in-depth of what gold will represent, what is the meaning behind gold in that Awesome Portfolio. I'll put a link to his new book in the show notes. In the second segment, we welcome Chris Berry from House Mountain Partners, and the host of The Power Current podcast on Clear Commodity Network, talking about some of the deals that were announced post the mining executive roundtable discussion in the White House last week. The winners, the losers, what's missing from the deals, and really where does this go in the next election cycle? So great conversation with Chris Berry as well. Special thank you to Integra Resources, Visa Silver, Equinox Gold and Revival Gold for the continued support of Mining Stock Daily and all of our content. Let's jump into my first segment here with Jared Dillian. Have a wonderful weekend everybody.
All right, everybody, welcome into this week's long forum episode. We're going to kick things off with a recurring guest, one of my favorites. My brother from South Carolina, Mr. Jared Dillian, who I will mention in a little bit of time.
Actually, Jared, you are going to be the most prominent author in my home library, because I think this will be once The Awesome Portfolio comes out, it will be my fourth or fifth book of yours in my catalog, and which will surpass the previous author I had the most books, which was Peter Zion, actually. So congratulations, you've made it.

**Jared Dillian** (2:16)
Peter Zion, that's a big name.
I met him once.
He's very tall, he's like six foot six. He might be six foot seven, he's very tall, and he is incredibly full of shit, but a very nice guy.

**Trevor Hall** (2:30)
I'm sure he is.

**Jared Dillian** (2:31)
Actually, it was funny because I saw him right after he got on Rogan and I was like, hey man, how did you get on Rogan? He's like, you can't pitch Rogan. He's like, basically Rogan has a bunch of feeder podcasts, and if you show up on one of his feeder podcasts and he likes you, then he'll take you on, but you can't pitch Rogan.
I had a nice conversation with Peter, he really helped me out.

**Trevor Hall** (3:00)
He lives here in Colorado, and in fact, sometime I feel like I'm just going to run into him. But it's just has never happened yet. I've reached out to his people a number of time in the past years for an interview, and it's just never got a response.
But listen, congratulations. I'm going to put a link to the pre-order for The Awesome Portfolio up in the show notes.
But I thought we might go back because you first opened up your Awesome Portfolio ideas in No Worries. You got that right here. You wrote a chapter on it, but then now you're turning that chapter really into a full-fledged book. This isn't the first financial book you've obviously written. No Worries was really about markets and finances and investing. But this really opens it up. Why did you feel like now is a great time to go deep in depth with your theory here?

**Jared Dillian** (3:55)
Well, it's funny, No Worries was a pretty successful book.
I was talking to my editor at Harriman House, Craig Pierce. He's like, what do you want to do next for a book? I'm like, dude, I have no idea. He's like, well, why don't you do a book on The Awesome Portfolio? I said, Craig, I don't think there's enough there there. I don't think I can do a whole book on that. So no. Then I thought about it for a couple of weeks and I was like, actually, he's right, like, you know, there's a lot to talk about. So it's not a long book. It's about 50,000 words, 200 pages. There's a lot of graphs and charts and stuff.
But I, you know, of all the books I've ever written, you know, I've told people, like, I want it to be successful, but not so I can get famous, not so I can make money. I just want people to adopt these ideas because I think it will make everybody's life better. I think it is a vast improvement on the way people save for retirement right now.

**Trevor Hall** (5:04)
So, yeah. Well, I think, listen, for the last couple of years, there's been a challenge. The 60-40 portfolio makeup of your personal investments has been challenged and actually has been disproven in many different ways. We can go through anecdotal reasons why that is, but your Awesome Portfolio idea spreads across five different asset classes, including stocks and bonds obviously, but you add an importance of gold, real estate, and obviously cash in there. That's been known since No Worries, so each roughly equal weight.
