Hello, everybody, and welcome to The Meta Show. Sorry, there was no show last week. I was sick as a dog. Nobody would really want to hear that. But we're back. Joining us, well, joining me today, I'm just saying us because Keith is normally here. Joining me today is Kazanir, the amazing GSF Finance Director, and our colleague, Satan, former Director of Hoard up until a few weeks ago. And he has offered to come on and tell us all the juice. So without further ado, let's jump into the top story.
Let's do a little bit. There we go. And first we'll say, and tell us a bit about yourself, for those that may not know you.

So I am Alcoholics Satan. I was a director in Horde for eight years, almost nine. May of 2026 would have been my 10th year in Horde, but unfortunately, I never made it that far. I started-

**Kazanir** (1:54)
You didn't get the shield?

**Alcoholic Satan** (1:56)
Yeah, I didn't get the shield. It was a good run, but all good things come to an end eventually. I started in Horde about 10 years ago. My first time in Horde was a fleet, Travis Kakira, screaming at everyone in the standing fleet to immediately stop what we were doing, get into fleet with whatever ship we had and kill, I think it was like a big red boat sword fleet or something in O1Y.
I started FCing a little bit, doing structure bashes at the time, clearing out old testing goon structures around Fade and Pure Blinds, and then after a little bit, started running what at this time was known as Oracle Beans, and then Oracle Beans eventually turned into Pan Crab, and I was the head of Pan Crab ever since.

**Dave Archer** (2:55)
I think the main thing everybody wants to know about really is, well, what in the hell happened? So, from your point of view, well, do you want to walk us through what the plan was first?

**Alcoholic Satan** (3:14)
I mean, so the plan was, I only found out about what was going to happen about two weeks before the infamous ping that everyone thought was a joke at first, which was in fact not a joke. So, I had been briefed on the plan that basically we were just kind of, that was it, Gobbins was going to step down, Johnny was going to take over, and the plan was to go move into Vale and help in it against Fratt.

**Kazanir** (3:50)
And you say you found that out when?

**Alcoholic Satan** (3:53)
Two weeks before.

**Kazanir** (3:55)
Oh, okay.
That's not very long, but that's not short either. It's interesting.

**Alcoholic Satan** (4:00)
No. I was told that this plan was in the work for about a couple months or so. And everyone kind of found out at different times. There were some directors that didn't even find out until 24 hours prior.
So, I found out because after PanCrab moved to Artac AG, we were trying to figure out systems, where to go and play SinoBeacons and whatnot. And with the CSM voting coming up, I was like, hey, can we go and push for SinoBeacons and these systems? Are we going to be pushing our ballot onto NC? Like, what's the plan? And so that's when I got hit with the DM, like, hey, you know, like, we're not, whatever we kind of have is what we're going to be working with, because this, you know, this is what's going to happen. So that's how I found out. And from there, you know, I was kind of, I was kind of surprised. I always assumed that if Horde was going to go, that, you know, Gobbins was just going to be like, you know, all right, this is it. Right click this band, we had a good run. You know, that's not, I never imagined a horde where somebody else would take over.

So they basically only told you because you were asking questions and trying to get stuff done. Well, possibly planning, because, yeah, that does sound like they told you because you were going to do stuff that would have made it more difficult, which is still terrible planning, right? So what was your initial reaction to that news?
