Welcome to Two Sixteen, A Link to the Past Randomizer Podcast. I am your host, Fear Agent. Today, we've got an epic, huge mega draft. We are drafting video games from the last 25 years, from the year 2000 to 2025, and I've got a huge list of guests. It's the most massive show. I've seen a lot of retrospect from the last 25 years since we are hitting the first quarter of the century.
A lot of online stuff is reminiscing about those last 25 years, and I thought it would be super fun to bring in a bunch of knowledgeable dudes to draft games that have come out from the last 20, 25 years. So we're going to try to keep this as brief as possible. Because we've got a lot of categories, we're going to be drafting action adventure, RPG, shooter, platformer, multiplayer party, and then a wild card. And we've got seven drafters, including myself. So let's start by introducing them. And I'm going to go in the order that they are in the Discord. So first up, Alasun, Alasun, welcome back to the show.
**Alaszun** (1:22)
Hello. How are you guys doing today?
**fearagent** (1:23)
I always love having you on the show because, Alasun, you have lots of opinions and you're not afraid to share them. What was the toughest category for you today when you came up with your list, especially when you just found out that it was the last 25 years? It's been a long time.
**Alaszun** (1:41)
Probably, in retrospect, probably Shooter. But getting caught off guard by the misreading did not help my case.
**fearagent** (1:53)
Sure. All right. So expect lots of hot takes from Alasun coming up. Next up, we've got, gosh, I think from season one, P-Train's back on the show. And again, P-Train, it is the last 25 years, and not the last five, 22,000, 2005 Just a reminder. But welcome. Welcome back, P-Train.
**P-Train** (2:12)
Appreciate it. Yeah. I have done some last-minute scrambling to update my list. So now I am within the last 25 years. Yeah, I think I struggled most with the RPG, because I just, there's so many that I haven't played.
**fearagent** (2:28)
Yeah. That's the tough part, is not having to play in them. We, you know, we all are Twitch streamers at some sort of level. Most of us are not making any money, but are familiar enough with Twitch where we've watched a lot of runners play. So I think that can help too. Next up, you know him, you love him. You've been on the show a million times. And whenever we draft, we got to have him on. It's Sahreen. Sahreen, you're back. First, first of all, you got Aaron Rodgers. So you're feeling good on the Steelers.
**Shareen** (2:53)
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
**fearagent** (2:55)
That's awesome. Now you've got, now you get to draft some video games.
**Shareen** (2:59)
Yeah, it's the drafting time of the year, you know. Fantasy football season's coming up. Get some more video game drafts, you know, make people upset with picking some bad games. Even though I'm fully prepared for the past 25 years, unlike some other people in this voice call, I feel like I'm still going to have some pretty, pretty interesting picks.
**fearagent** (3:18)
Is it hard for you to pick games when you were only alive for about half of the ones that have been released?
**Walther** (3:25)
Okay.
**Shareen** (3:25)
Well, you know, as we spoke many times, I've played a lot of games that are, you know, older than me and, you know, there's definitely some games on my list that I have, that I have not played, that I've heard good things about. And, you know, in terms of the discussion point, I'll leave that to people like Alaszun to, you know, carry my argument for me. So.
**Walther** (3:48)
All right.
**fearagent** (3:50)
Coming in late, but super appreciate that you're here. TwoSi, you're back on the show. Also a drafter who is, gosh, been just killing it when it comes to fancy football, like you destroyed us. And here we are. We're drafting again. So welcome and thanks for filling in.
**TwoC** (4:11)
Yeah, thank you for the invite. This is actually pretty hype. I'm excited to go back to like memory lane in a way. I'm sure a lot of people are going to bring on some games that, you know, I loved when I played them. So, yeah, I'm very excited.
**fearagent** (4:25)
What I love that you bring also is you've played a ton of different games on stream. Usually, some of them are really older. Like, I remember watching you play, like, Die Hard from the NES and stuff. But it feels like you are what I would call a variety gamer. Like you really play it all.
