Brandon McAfee (0:00)

One, two, three, four.

Drew Lane (0:04)

Strap in, Michigan's number one podcast is next.

Drew Lane (0:10)

Yeah, what's poppin? We're in the deals in the d.com studios. And as you hear this, Dave Landau's comedy special is available on YouTube. It's live now. Check it out.

I think you can get it on Gas Digital, or if you just search Dave Landau Comedy YouTube, you'll find it. It's great. I watched it last night. Very funny.

Brandon McAfee (0:30)

There's a link right in the notes. First thing, click on it.

Drew Lane (0:33)

It's 30 minutes long. It's short and sweet and funny. So check out Dave. And again, J Chris Newberg, Friday Night at the Royal Oak Music Theater. We had both of them on yesterday. Hopefully you heard it.

But Chris... Together? Yeah, they were both on yesterday. Thanks for listening to the show.

Brandon McAfee (0:49)

We had J Chris on Zoom. No, I saw they were both on.

Trudi Daniels (0:50)

I didn't listen.

Drew Lane (0:51)

They were on together.

Trudi Daniels (0:52)

I had an insane day, so I didn't listen to the show.

Drew Lane (0:54)

I felt bad. It's like, oh my God, I'm such a bad schedule. Two people have remote comedy specials on the same day. And I thought, no, they'll be great together. And actually they were. They know each other. They're friends, of course, and like each other's stuff, so it worked out fine.

Chris is great. Dave is great, as usual. So all is good. So yeah, check out Dave's comedy special. I feel very confident you'll enjoy it. And Chris, Friday night at the Royal Oak Music Theater.

Also, we're closing in on 50,000 subscribers for our YouTube channel. So if you haven't subscribed, please do it. I want that 100,000 subscriber plaque. That silver plaque everybody shows that's so fucking cool. Ooh, I want 100,000 subscribers. I want one!

SPEAKER_7 (1:35)

They still do that?

Drew Lane (1:36)

Yeah, they still do. Carl says you have to really beg for them, but they'll give them out. You gotta beg?

I don't know. I guess some people have had trouble getting them.

Brandon McAfee (1:45)

We got machinists in the audience. They can make you one no problem. Make you a 48,000.

Drew Lane (1:51)

If we can't get one, if we can't earn one, we'll all have one made for wherever we are. That would be nice.

Because we've done really well. I'm happy with how we're doing on YouTube. Not so happy about Facebook, though, because in talking to Dave and some other people, Facebook is paying people now.

Marc Fellhauer (2:07)

Yeah, if you have over 100,000 followers.

Drew Lane (2:10)

Yeah, we're a couple short. 37,000.

We need a few more of those. Could use that. If we follow us on Facebook, you have to have $100,000 to be monetized?

Trudi Daniels (2:19)

Does Ermanni have $100,000?

SPEAKER_9 (2:20)

He's making money on Facebook.

Marc Fellhauer (2:22)

That's when it escalates. Is who?

Drew Lane (2:24)

Ermanni.

Marc Fellhauer (2:25)

Oh yeah, Ermanni's got a ton.

Drew Lane (2:27)

He's got $100,000?

Marc Fellhauer (2:28)

Yeah, I think so.

Drew Lane (2:29)

Then I want $100,000 just to have what Ermanni has.

Marc Fellhauer (2:31)

Yeah.

Drew Lane (2:33)

If he has $100,000, I should have $100,000.

Trudi Daniels (2:36)

Yeah, but he does all that entertaining, cracking up on TV in the middle of news.

Drew Lane (2:40)

Yeah, JVJR too.

SPEAKER_10 (2:41)

Why does he get a girlfriend and not me?

Drew Lane (2:44)

Exactly!

Brandon McAfee (2:45)

What the fuck?

Drew Lane (2:47)

Does he have $100,000?

Marc Fellhauer (2:49)

I don't know.

Trudi Daniels (2:49)

God, you seem genuinely hurt.

Drew Lane (2:51)

I just want to know if he does.

I'm happy for him if he does. I just can't believe. We only have $37,000? What the fuck?

Trudi Daniels (2:58)

That's on Facebook, though.

Drew Lane (2:59)

I know.

Marc Fellhauer (3:00)

Facebook sucks.

Drew Lane (3:01)

I know, but they're paying people now.

I'm just so disorganized. I should have been doing this the first day. The first day we started. Ten and a half years ago, I should have been doing this. So I'm a little behind.

Brandon McAfee (3:11)

I thought we were on Facebook when we started.

Marc Fellhauer (3:14)

Actually, we were.

Drew Lane (3:15)

But they didn't monetize then, did they?

Brandon McAfee (3:16)

No, no, no, no.

Drew Lane (3:18)

So yeah, Facebook started getting their ass kicked by YouTube and Instagram. And all of a sudden, I guess we have to pay people.

Marc Fellhauer (3:23)

I guess we'll just have to buy you Instagram.
