Have you ever been confused about why Easter happens when it happens? End of March? Mid April? July? And as if it's not already complicated enough, the eastern church celebrates on a different day than the western church. Except the days that they don't...

Now, Dan, I know that you are a firm mattress guy. And so you got, when Brooklyn Bedding came on as one of our sponsors, you went ahead and got a firm mattress. I went with the Sedona Elite, which is awesome. It's got dual inner spring technologies. It's got two different sets of springs, as well as the foam in between.
It's a medium firmness. So for me, I'm a guy who has been known to be a tosser and a turner. I'm a side sleeper. I'm a back sleeper. I do all the things. And I have struggled to find a mattress that can really, you know, just support me in the ways that I like to be supported by a mattress. And oh, the Sedona Elite, my friends, you're going to want to check it out.
Dan McClellan (0:50)
Brooklyn Bedding has something for everybody, whether you are somebody who is correct about firmness like me, or you're somebody who is like, I'll take an extra medium like Dan.
They have non-traditional sizes. You can find all kinds of different sizes. My wife and I, we went with the Cal King. We enjoy that, although most nights, I end up sleeping on the one foot on the end of the mattress with my wife chasing me down. So, but Brooklyn Bedding has some wonderful options. It's free of fiberglass. Their mattresses, which can be harmful to your health. They ensure their entire facility is free of fiberglass. You can sleep on your Brooklyn Bedding mattress for up to 120 nights. And if you don't love it as much as I love mine, then they'll help you return it. Or you can pick out a different one.

Fellas, you know Degree Cool Rush deodorant, right? Well, last year they changed the formula and guys were mad about it. One dude even started a petition. So guess what? Degree hurt us, admitted they messed up and brought the original Cool Rush scent back, exactly how it was. And it's in Walmart, Target and other stores now for under $4. So grab some and remember why its cool, crisp and fresh scent made it the number one men's antiperspent for the last decade. Degree Cool Rush is back and it smells like victory for all of us.

My favorite of the tricks that he was like, okay, hey, put your hand in your robe. Okay, pull it out. Leprosy. He's like, why did you do that? He's like, okay, put it back in your robe. Now it's cured. That is not a good trick.
Don't do that.
Dan McClellan (3:01)
Hey everybody, I'm Dan McClellan.
Dan Beecher (3:03)
And I'm Dan Beecher.
Dan McClellan (3:04)
And you're listening to the Data Over Dogma podcast. And I'm going to give it a little podcast voice, where we increase public access to the academics. I don't know if that's public. We increase public access to the academic study of the Bible and religion, and we combat the spread of misinformation about the same. I feel like I'm supposed to speak softer.
Dan Beecher (3:24)
I think your voice is technically a podcast voice, because you've been doing a podcast for two years now.
Dan McClellan (3:32)
It's been that long? Well, there's a joke that for whatever reason, I heard like four or five different times when I was a missionary in South America, in Uruguay specifically, folks would say, you know, we've been married for 10 years, but it really only feels like one year underwater, with my head underwater or something like that. And I was always like, that's a dumb joke.
Dan Beecher (3:58)
But you know that that that's your wife you're talking about, right?
That's your spouse. All right. Well, today, coming up on the show, we're talking about a couple of things. We just had Easter. We we lived through it. We saw the other side of it.
Dan McClellan (4:19)
I still got the Reese's Easter egg bag.
Dan Beecher (4:22)
That's insane. You haven't eaten those yet?
Dan McClellan (4:26)
No, I'm rationing them because I've got a I'm trying to. So I had non-alcoholic fatty liver disease for a while, lost 30 pounds, got rid of it and gained 40 Oh, so now I'm back again. So, oh, yeah, I've got to I've got to try to pull it back a little bit.
