The God Who Called You to This Isn't Going to Abandon You in the Middle of It

Welcome to episode 838 The God who called you to this isn't going to abandon you in the middle of it. That's right. If God called you to this, God is not going to abandon you in the middle of it. I bring this up because we, whether you're an entrepreneur or you're a creator or just somebody forging your own path or just going after the calling in general or an interest or a passion or whatever it might be, you know, you felt called, you felt the pull, you started going into it and you thought, you know, sometimes maybe in the beginning, like, this is great, this is excellent, you know, maybe a little longer, maybe a little longer, maybe a little longer. And then maybe some time goes by and you get much further into it. You know, you can't ever go back because you can't. You're very much deep into the path, but you feel like maybe you're out there. You're really out there. You're out there in the middle of the desert and you're like, what's going on? What am I doing here? You know, this is a very real thing. Listen, throughout my journey over the last, like, 15, 20 years, there's plenty of times I felt like that. I'm like, this makes no sense or how much longer. I mean, we see this throughout history. We've seen this biblically. We've seen this, you know, historically, right? We follow the calling and we don't know the how, because it's not really our job to know the how. We are constantly trying to forge ahead. And sometimes we feel like, oh, are we taking a few steps back? You know, is it, you know, is the vision going to get to the place that I'd seen it? How much longer is it gonna take? I mean, especially in entrepreneurship, you can feel this way. And I love some of the content I've watched online recently, too, of people saying, listen, like, I can't tell you how long it's gonna take for you because it's different for each person, but be prepared. Like, it's gonna take a while, and it's only because, you know, I know that society often feeds this kind of quick, convenient, you know, outcome, if you will. But how could it ever really be that way if the goal isn't just the business, but it's who you're becoming in the process, right? And so God doesn't abandon us just halfway through, like, I pulled you out into doing this and brought you into your calling, and it's gonna be a journey. Well, good luck. I mean, it doesn't work like that. In fact, if anything, I think it's a deeper call for surrender to God. It's a deeper call for deepening your relationship with yourself and God. And so, let's talk about that, because maybe many of you are out there building something you're like, but when, God? But when, right? So, God's calling always includes the sustenance to walk through it, even if in the moment, you may not be feeling it. So, in this episode, let's talk about why we default to fear that God will leave us halfway through what God started in us. And in an interesting, because sometimes we've encountered this probably with people in the physical world, in the real world, in the 3D world, whatever you want to call it, right? And God doesn't leave us. But sometimes we equate what we see in people to God. God's like a loving God. God will always be there. We just need to keep asking. Also, the biblical pattern of calling always including the sustenance to complete it. We're going to talk about a few folks. Also, why the middle of the journey is where doubt shows up loudest, and how to interpret that doubt. How could it not? How could it not? Let's own that. The doubt can be the loudest in the middle of it.
And it's interesting, right? When you look at it, you can't go back. You know too much. You can't go back to the previous life. That's why they say ignorance is bliss. Once you know, you can't go back. You can't unknow. And then maybe you're still far from where it's all going, and things have been removed. Things have pivoted. Money up, money down. New relationships, old relationships, exited, whatever it might be. Right? But that's, of course, fear is going to come in, because you're like, what is this? And what I have found is in those moments, the beauty of God asking us to say, ask me. Do you want to know what it is? Ask me. Do you want help? Ask me. Do you want to have a better understanding of what's going on? Ask me. And when fear comes in, that's not from God. That's a call to run towards God. Fear is not the light. Light comes from God. And fear is just a reminder for us to be like, I need to go seek God's wisdom. I need to go seek His will, right? I need to go seek what's going on.
