Welcome to episode 830, The Gap That Nobody Talks About, The Space Between Inner Transformation and Outer Reality. The space between inner transformation and outer reality. I was watching this video I saw online from JB Copeland, and he was talking about how he's like, it's funny, we don't often observe the points where we've done lots of inner work. We jumped into the race, our race that we're trying to build. We start doing the things, we start healing, we start doing all this work, and we feel it. We can feel it internally. We can feel the change that we are. And sometimes, the outer world of us hasn't quite caught up to that change yet. If you're an entrepreneur, if you're a creator, if you're a person who's healing, or you're a person who, you know, you're like, you know what, I want to break generational curses, or maybe you're just like, you were healing relationships because you want to play for having a spouse, whatever it might be, you know this, you understand this. Or maybe it was like you were decided to start finally working on your health, and you make a lot of internal shifts. You start doing all kinds of work, and you're furthest you've ever been from where you started, but maybe the outer world isn't quite reflecting the full reality of what you feel inside, right? I remember learning this, especially on my health and nutrition journey with my trainer. And I remember how the first year and a half, two years I was training with him, he said, he's like, you know, it's interesting. You'll build all this muscle you don't even realize, because we were actually stacking a lot more weight. But I didn't always feel like the outer version of me like looked like the body hadn't changed any. I was, yeah, it could take time. He's like, but it's there. And he kind of, you know, in a weird way, with the analogy of like Michelangelo's David, it's like, you know, it's underneath the stone is there. It's underneath the stone, like the sculpture is there. And he said, it can take time. He's like, your body is reshaping from the consistency. It's going to catch up sooner or later, you'll see. And it does, and it did, it does, and it's still doing it, right? But there's this gap. You can feel it because you're like, I'm doing the work. Am I crazy? Am I different? The outer world doesn't really reflect that yet. You as an entrepreneur, you can feel that way financially or creatively, or depending on how far and wide your work is known, or like as a creative, you and your health journey, you and your relationships, maybe like you have truly healed the way you approach a relationship because you're like, no, you know what? I want a healthy, happy, loving marriage. And maybe you haven't necessarily met that person yet, but you have been in such refinement and you're having to be the person before the person arrives. Right? So I shouldn't say nobody talks this gap, nobody talks about, I mean, it's talked about, I just don't think enough. And so this episode, I want to talk about why that gap is not assigned to doubt, but assigned to trust, right? So that gap and nobody talks about the space between inner transformation and outer reality. We're going to talk about that. Why doubt shows up so intensely in those specific seasons. Oh, it can show up all right. Like, you know, I was thinking about, and I apologize ahead of time if I'm saying his name wrong, Vozina from Cape Verde in the World Cup Soccer Tournament, and him being a goalie at 40, and 15 really is actually 20 years, 20 years. Think about that gap between he knew, he just stayed focused on craft. Could you imagine how long of being consistently working on your craft, that on the world's biggest stage now it's showing up and everyone's like, oh my God, we're just learning about this individual. Like, yeah, talk about the gap. Could you now imagine up until the world stage saw him play, he could think, am I even any good? So I want you all to think about anything that you're doing, anything that you're working on, anything that you're in it. There is a time where it will be beautifully revealed on a level that you were long ready for because you took the time to get ready for it. And yes, until then, it may feel like you're crazy. It may, you may have doubts like you couldn't believe. You may think like it'll never come to fruition and you're going to handle it very differently the longer it takes. I also want to talk about how to recognize the gap for what it actually is instead of interpreting it as failure. I want to help all of you guys in that. And if you think for a second, I don't go through any of this stuff, you're crazy. I'm telling you right now. Not so much the failure because I don't, the word, I don't look at it. I look at time and I look at like lessons and I look at losses like, okay, like how do I sharpen, you know, my, my craft? How do I sharpen my, my path? But, but still, I definitely, doubts? Oh yeah. Like, here's the thing, not doubt for what the work is. That feels like, I'm like, this is it. This is it for me. I love this. Doubts about sometimes the things that I know it's here to contribute to do. That's why I have this faith with God. Cause I'm like, no, let's, let's stay in it. Let's stay in it. Let's keep going. Let's keep going. I also want to talk about the spiritual purpose of the lag between who you're becoming and what your life reflects.
