The Broncos are back and the boys are back together. It feels like we have a special guest in studio today.
RK, Zac Stevens, Henry Chisholm here with you on a lovely hump day and NFL Christmas. It's officially here, boys. It starts today. But, Zac, wow, it feels crowded in the studio.
Zac Stevens (0:39)
It really does, guys. The Broncos are back for their first official regular season practice day. NFL is back tonight. I'm so pumped. Let's go.
Ryan Koenigsberg (0:51)
Let's go, baby. And I want to start here because yesterday, you would have been on the show, except for the fact that you had to go down to the stadium and do some really hard work of trying out the new options that they have there for food. And so I want to hear about that experience, and then I have a take about this.
Zac Stevens (1:08)
Well, so Broncos, highlighted by the beast in a blanket. Have you heard about this guy?
Ryan Koenigsberg (1:14)
No, no.
Zac Stevens (1:15)
Two foot long pig in a blanket that is stuffed with everything under the sun, including brisket. So they've got brisket inside of a pig in a blanket, which, of course, pig in a blanket, you've got a hot dog inside. And then it's smothered in just so many other things as well. It's over 6000 calories and going to cost you. Well, what's your guess? What's your guess on the cost for a two foot pig in the blanket that's loaded with everything that comes with its own little briefcase carrier?
Ryan Koenigsberg (1:45)
$49.99.
SPEAKER_1 (1:46)
Okay.
Henry Chisholm (1:47)
I mean, honestly, I feel like they should pay me, but it's got to be, I'll say $35.
Zac Stevens (1:52)
Ryan's closer, but you went over.
SPEAKER_1 (1:54)
Okay.
Zac Stevens (1:54)
$45 bucks.
Ryan Koenigsberg (1:55)
$45 bucks. I mean, that should feed at least three.
Zac Stevens (1:59)
Yeah. I was going to say four people. You just get it for your family. You cut it up. Everyone gets a half a foot of hot dog, plus everything else it comes with. It's not too bad, honestly.
Ryan Koenigsberg (2:08)
It isn't too bad. I think I'd rather they just stuff it all with brisket.
Zac Stevens (2:12)
Yeah. No hot dog?
Ryan Koenigsberg (2:15)
Yeah.
Henry Chisholm (2:15)
I probably don't need the blanket either.
Zac Stevens (2:16)
Then it would probably be a boat of brisket. It'd probably be about 80 bucks then. Probably.
Ryan Koenigsberg (2:23)
OK, so that was the highlight. What else was good out there?
Zac Stevens (2:27)
Well, the lowlight was I participated in a competition called Chomped. And that's the real reason that I was there. This is the second annual Chomped. And both times I have not won.
Ryan Koenigsberg (2:37)
What was this? Like you got to like design your own hot dog or something?
Zac Stevens (2:40)
Yeah. So last year it was hot dog. This year it was nachos. But this year they didn't tell us it was nachos before. So really had to think on our feet. I went up against Suzy Wargin, Brady King and our our friend Andrew Mason. Actually, all of those are our friends. But Andrew Mason and Mace came away with the victory. Although I have to say mine was the best, in my opinion.
Everyone else made cute little bowl of nachos. I made what I called Mile High Machos. And so this thing was like four times the size as everyone else is, and just loaded with everything that you want on nachos. So I...
Ryan Koenigsberg (3:21)
What is everything you want on nachos?
Zac Stevens (3:23)
Well, queso. They had blue cheese queso. I tried it. No, did not do that. I want the chili con queso.
So actually, I made this. You're going to absolutely love it. And, Henry, I think you would too, but Ryan is really going to love it. Green chili. Of course, just loaded with chips. Loaded with... I did multi-layers of cheese. You don't want to get to the bottom and just have only...
Ryan Koenigsberg (3:42)
Got to have shredded and queso.
Zac Stevens (3:44)
They didn't have shredded, so it wasn't an option. Interesting. Guacamole, carnitas, roasted in some hot honey that I did with my chef, and pico de gallo, sour cream.
What else do you want? There was jalapenos, beans, of course. Black beans.
