**Mike Narks** (1:09)
Dude, it was so great to have you there, and we're going to talk about that here in a minute. My wife even gave you a really big compliment, which is a huge plus. This week's episode though, guys, we are jam-packed, so we're going to run very fast through this stuff. We have drag-n-drive stories from this past weekend. Obviously, the circuit that we hosted, we have Brian Acton and Jay Banchard on as our first guests. They are the fastest quarter-mile average of the event. Then we have Chris Story on, who is the official event photographer, to tell some of the stories from the event. Maybe we can get him to talk about his third gear limiter burnout. Then after that is Jesse Fox with 3G Video, who's going to give us a rundown of his experience from the event and probably laugh and tell us a story of how it kicked him out of one of the hotel rooms one night. I feel bad about that still. Then to round out the show, we're going to go over event updates and talk to the Cruise and Lose hosts and their event kicks off on Friday. It's Wednesday night. I hope all the people for Cruise and Lose are wrenching on their stuff and listening to us out here right now. Eric, kick us off with our first bit of segment here and I'll get us rolling.
**Eric White** (2:18)
All right. We are going to start the show with a very important segment and that is on theft deterrent.
As we go to new parts of the country with new events, keeping your car safe is extremely important. We're going to talk about different theft deterrent methods. The first one here is going to be easy methods. Let's make sure that your door locks work. Key switch that works. These are the easiest things you can do is to make sure these work on your vehicle.
**Mike Narks** (2:50)
Yeah, that's for sure. Now, the next level of stuff would be like a wheel boot or a wheel lock or something like that. You don't get the club and then you also have a quickly steering wheel disconnects.
I found all the stuff on summitracing.com as I moved through today. This basically just wanting to make thieves have to think twice and work. Oh man, I really don't want to do that. I really don't want to go through all that mess with that car. Then the next level, the highest level we're going to talk about is a cooler of beer out in the parking lot, hanging out with your buddies till the wee hours of the morning. This was actually shot from the circuit this last weekend with a lot of our race car friends here. You can see everybody here in the back. That's probably your last level of defense being out there till 3, 4 a.m., something like that.
**Eric White** (3:47)
Yeah, so the best theft deterrent is to not make it easy at all. But you have GPS trackers like the Guard Dog that you just had up there. That is available through Summit Racing for 240 bucks, and it comes with two years of service.
**Mike Narks** (4:07)
Right, and that's why I think this one makes more sense because it already comes with the service and it's two years of it. So, you know, hide this somewhere in your car, stick it back in the back corner where nobody's going to find it, and then they're going to, yeah, just, if it does get stolen, then they have it. Then you can maybe find it, you know?
**Eric White** (4:24)
Right.
**Mike Narks** (4:25)
Now, that's a big part of what we talked about. There are a lot of other very intricate things you can do that we're not going to talk about because we don't want to give those low life thieves any kind of ammunition when they come into the parking lot with all the drag-n-drive cars. We are excited to have the team at Sweet Patina on board for the Build for Drag-N-Drive sponsor. Guys, I got a message from Jonathan Stone-Cypher, one of our favorite people. He has a new drag-n-drive car that he is going to pick up and he's letting me come along with him. I'm excited about that. We'll be grabbing my favorite Sweet Patina shirt, which is, what's it say?
