Welcome back to The Digital Credit Podcast. I'm Tim Kotzman. I'm here today with British HODL. British, I don't even know whether to say good morning, good afternoon or good evening, but how are you doing?

British HODL (0:12)

It's good afternoon. From here, I'm doing fantastic. How are you?

Timothy Kotzman (0:16)

I'm doing well. Let's jump in to digital credit. What is going on here? Are we so early that people are not understanding? You might be particularly and uniquely qualified to get into this based on some of the work that you've done in the gold space historically. Maybe you can start there and walk us through what is Luke Groman and Fred Kruger and some of these guys. Maybe there's stuff that we're missing on the digital credit front. Maybe there's stuff that they're missing, trying to compare digital credit and the preferred equities to what has happened with gold over time.

Maybe that's a decent setup for you to springboard off of.

British HODL (1:03)

Look, I don't know Luke personally.

I think he's just put out a clarification tweet saying that he's worried about the peak to peak keger on Bitcoin and them going down, which for someone that works at Bloomberg, you'd probably go like surely if an asset is getting bigger and becoming more mature, you'd expect the keger to go down. I mean, I don't understand how this is revolutionary to Luke considering where he works. So it's very interesting to see him say that. Did that shock you when he said that? Because to me, I was reading that going. You don't understand that as an asset gets more mature that the keger go down.

Timothy Kotzman (1:55)

Are you saying that Luke Groman works at Bloomberg? I didn't I didn't.

British HODL (1:58)

I thought he worked over there. No. Can we confirm that?

Timothy Kotzman (2:01)

I don't think so. He's the founder and president of Forest for the Trees, author of the Mr. X Interviews Volumes 1 and 2 I never solicit via DMs. Retweets are not endorsements. That's all. That's all.

British HODL (2:14)

That's my that's my bad. That's my bad, because, yeah, it would be it would be it would be strange for Bloomberg to hire someone that was this incompetent. So, OK, that's that makes sense.

Look, you know, as far as you mentioned, Fred Krueger, who, you know, I consider I consider a friend and my affectionate name for him is Flip-Flop Freddy, because he's always on one side of the debate or the other. And, you know, he's not a good track record over the last year. I think Fred has picked literally the worst side of every debate, which, well, you know, that's a whole different conversation. I'm not here to judge his resume.

Timothy Kotzman (2:55)

I think that's that's that's good for engagement British, right? That's good for engagement.

British HODL (3:00)

Is it, though, when everyone just thinks you're an idiot over and over again? I don't know, like, anyone with serious capital looks at you and six out of six times you've been on the wrong side of the debate. Is that good for engagement? I mean, maybe, OK, if that's the engagement you want, then maybe. But look, you know, what people are not understanding, I think, about digital credit is because the word digital is in front of it. This is a debate that I had on Spaces yesterday. People say, but how is it digital? Well, because I fucking said it's digital. That's why it's digital.

Why are we getting lost in the minutiae of words? Michael Saylor has created the ability for you to take credit, back it with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a digital asset, so he's called it digital credit. I don't know how many times I want to fight with the dictionary boys in Bitcoin anymore. Like, this is ridiculous. This happens every time someone creates a category. It's not even a new category. It's the credit category. They backed it with Bitcoin, figured out a way to create a preferred product where you can influence, continue to influence the demand of the product rather than having a fixed state. They're calling it digital credit and everyone's up in arms because they put the word digital in it. And it's just a credit product. It's like, you know, at some point, we got to stop thinking about, you know, what the dictionary boys think about everything in Bitcoin, because clearly they're just irrelevant. The thing that I want to focus on is the fact that this is the final market. There are rails between equities and Bitcoin. There are rails between real estate and Bitcoin. There are rails between gold and Bitcoin. These rails are in place. They're being educated on. The only rail that's missing is between credit and Bitcoin, and Michael Sayle is making that. Michael Sayle is building the rails for the first time between credit and Bitcoin. And, you know, the reality is this. Real estate is a $350 trillion asset because there is credit attached to it. The credit validates the owning of the investment. And so what Michael Sayle is doing here is, oh, there's 150 in the US, 300 worldwide, a trillion-dollar market of credit.
