DraftPod, baby, we're doing it. Ready for a final preseason game, looking ahead to the Broncos biggest needs and who the young breakout stars are. Plus a little week zero preview. We've got you covered on All Fronts starting now. DNVR, DraftPod, we're doing it, baby.
**Henry Chisholm** (1:11)
What a time to be alive.
**Andre Simone** (1:21)
Big Hank making an appearance.
You were off the DraftPod for training camp. Obviously busy with that. Today is an off day for the Broncos Pod. You came on, you're hopping on Rockies after this. What a company man.
**SPEAKER_5** (1:38)
What a ballmower.
**Henry Chisholm** (1:39)
Best off day of the year.
**Andre Simone** (1:41)
Yeah, truly.
**Henry Chisholm** (1:42)
Yeah. No, it'll be fun because we have college football. I'm so high. It's now time for a DraftPod.
**Andre Simone** (1:48)
Yeah, it is. And it's FCS heavy day, so as our FCS expert, you are.
**Henry Chisholm** (1:54)
I couldn't be more thrilled. And in particular, Big Sky Conference. Yeah. So there are a couple of FCS conferences who are trying to play more Week games because they want to get to 12 games in regular season instead of 11 But the Big Sky took it a step further and said, we're playing Week and they're all going to be conference games. And so you start the year with matchups that really matter because you're going to wind up with five teams in the playoffs. And they're a bunch of big games this week.
**Andre Simone** (2:16)
We've got some bangers here.
**Henry Chisholm** (2:17)
I'm hyped.
**Andre Simone** (2:18)
Dude, Southern Utah at Montana, big one.
**Henry Chisholm** (2:21)
The Southern Utah is good. Montana is like a 17 and a half point favorite, but new coach and some of that stuff. You never, Week 1, like that's the, it's Week even, it's just chaos.
**Andre Simone** (2:32)
Well, I can't wait to talk about this all, but let's talk some Broncos first. We did this question to Zac on the regular Broncos pod yesterday. We're adding a layer to it for you. Most impressive young guy for you this camp slash preseason. Young guy open-ended can be defined different ways.
**Henry Chisholm** (2:52)
I mean, the first that came to mind were Tyler Onyedam and Cage Casey. I think those were the two who, like Onyedam, especially his camp kind of went on. And even in the preseason game, we've seen it too.
He gets into the backfield. He's just very explosive. And then Cage Casey, first of all, looks the part. Like he's just like that big cube sort of type. Not quite like Ben Powers, but pretty close to it. We're just a cube. But nobody got by him.
**Andre Simone** (3:17)
And I think that's huge.
**Henry Chisholm** (3:19)
Like when you're just watching these one on ones every day over and over and over again, he looked good. And I think those two are the first two that come to mind. Now, Onyedam is the one who probably gets more of an opportunity this year. But could Cage earn the backup guard spot? It'd be tough to take from Palcho, but I don't think it's impossible.
**Andre Simone** (3:38)
That's interesting. And I mean, low key on the draft pod, we've been talking about O-Line being a sneaky need for this team. And without using premium resources and free agency, and really Cage is the only guy they've used a top 100 pick on in a long while on the offensive line.
Their depth is sneaky nice outside of center, where we have obviously injuries and a little depth concerns. But between Palcho, Frank Crum, and now Cage Casey, you, I mean, how many teams do you are like eight deep in their O-line? Zero. Feel good about their O-line depth. And the modern NFL, that's an anomaly.
**Henry Chisholm** (4:18)
Zero. Yeah, I mean, and the starters too. Like, I can't remember who it was, but somebody went through and put together, like they compiled the rankings from like, I think it was like 15 or 20 different websites that ranked all the offensive lines, one to 32 And let's just call it 16 websites. And 15 of the 16 said Broncos are number one. Like there was only one ranking where they were number two. And so you have that at the top. The depth is better than anybody in the NFL.
