The Day Tears Go Away - Part 2

InGrace with Jim Scudder

September 10, 2026

A cruise sold as “all-inclusive” charged Jim Scudder extra for the crab, extra for the lobster, and extra for coffee. The end of Revelation 7 lists everything included, and the last item is not something you can buy.

This is talking about a unique and special time called the Great Tribulation. That word great in the Greek is megas.

This is mega. This is the Great Tribulation. This is different than any other tribulation people have gone through throughout the ages.

Welcome back to InGrace. This is Jim Scudder. Today, we're gonna be again in the series Armageddon's Dawn. It's a 43-part sermon series, and we play half a sermon every day. And so today, we're gonna continue to talk about the day tears go away from Revelation chapter 7

And you're gonna hear me starting to talk about salvation is available, and there's these 144,000 Jewish witnesses in the tribulation period that will be sharing the gospel. And then we switch in Revelation 7 verse 9, and it talks about this great multitude that's in heaven of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues standing before the throne, and they're in white robes, and there's palms in their hands. We're gonna talk about that starting today, talking about the palms in their hands, and they're crying salvation to our God, who sitteth upon the throne and unto the lamb. It's gonna be a glorious scene, but it's also a scene reflective of intense persecution, because all of these people are in heaven, because I believe they have been martyred for their faith in the tribulation period. So, but there is a day when tears will go away, and that's what we're gonna focus on more today as well. And if you want to get the Armageddon Prophecy Chart, it's absolutely free. We'd love to send it to you right now. Call us. The number is 1-800-78-GRACE.

Imagine this whole group of people for all eternity being so thankful to the Jewish witnesses, and they're clothed in white robes, and they have these palms in their hands. I love this. Palms in their hands. What does that remind me of? When I read the Bible and I look at when did they have palms in their hands? Well, they had them several different times. We read about something called the Feast of Tabernacles, the Feast of Booths. And they would have palms and they would build these booths out of palm branches and it was to celebrate the harvest. The rejoicing with the harvest. So you find palm branches associated with rejoicing in the Bible.

You also find palm branches that are associated with the coronation of a king, of victory, right? You also see palm branches announcing the arrival of a king. So we have these instances in the Bible. You'll remember Palm Sunday when Jesus comes in on a donkey on the same path that he'll come back later on a white horse, but he comes down in Kidron Valley, Mount of Olives, Kidron Valley on a donkey, and there's people with palm branches, right? Accepting him, saying, this is Hosanna, Hosanna. This is the king. The king has arrived. One week later, they will have rejected him, sadly. But then we see the association of palm branches. Here they are in heaven. They have white robes, and they have palm branches. What does that signify? Rejoicing.

It signifies coronation, and it signifies the entrance of the king. And in all those ways here in the scene of heaven, this great multitude, they've gone through terrible horrors, more than likely, right? They had to have been part of the persecuted group. They eventually died. I'm sure there weren't millions. I don't know what the number is, but a lot of people, during this tribulation period that died of natural causes, more than likely, these people were killed because of their faith.
