Good morning from Live The Dream Media in Marana, Arizona. I made it back. Although there was plenty of delays yesterday on our flights coming from DC. The layover in Dallas took some time. There was some storm going, some storm stuff going on. So yesterday was the first time I ever experienced a plane attempting to land, and not quite making it, and then doing it again after we flew around for a little bit. So that was an interesting experience. If you've ever experienced that, please feel free to throw it in the chat and share your story. It was a very interesting feeling. I could hear the landing gear open up, everything. We were close. I mean, I could see the ground really close, and then we just didn't do it. So that was a cool experience. I got in from DC at about 8 o'clock last night, 7.3 ish. Now, I got home about 8 o'clock. I had a great time up there, and I just want to talk about it, do a little bit of a rundown. You're probably going, what were you doing up there? You got to have a reason to be up there. Well, I had two reasons. So the first one was, I'm part of 88 Crime, which is a crime stoppers organization, and I'm on the board of directors there. And we need a specific legislation piece to go through, which would be an amendment to the Bank Secrecy Act. So if you're interested in looking up what this legislation is, it is HR 6029 And what it does is we are requesting an amendment to be able to pay tipsters without their identity being shared with the bank. So currently under the Bank Secrecy Act, which was created post 9-11, if somebody withdraws a specific amount of money, I think it's around the $10,000 mark, the bank is going to request identification to track the money and make sure that the federal government is aware. Now, the reason behind this act is they were trying to be counter to terrorism. They were trying to go after terrorism organizations and watch how money was moving. So interestingly enough, that doesn't quite work for a lot of Crime Stoppers organizations throughout the United States of America. So I had the awesome opportunity, and thank you for Crime Stoppers USA, for providing this opportunity. But I had the opportunity to go and visit Congressman Juan Ciscamani, who is the Congressman in the area that our business operates and where ADA Crime is part of. And we scheduled a meeting to go meet with him to talk about this legislation, as he is the current Congressman for this area. I want to give a huge shout out to his team, his staff, him in general for taking time to meet with us. The circumstances were pretty different. The day before, Congress was dismissed to leave early. And I just want to point out that Juan stayed the next day to meet with us. He could have went home, he could have done a bunch of other things. A lot of other representatives were gone. They had already gone home. He was still there that day waiting for us to meet with him. So I just want to give a shout out for him for taking time to do that. I think that's really cool. We had a great conversation about the legislation. I feel good about where it's going. If you're wondering who sponsored the legislation, it is Michael Guest out of Mississippi. So you can go ahead and check that out. Just go on Google, look up the HR 6029, and you can learn about that a little bit more. Interestingly enough too, while I was in Washington, I would jump between Washington, DC and Virginia, some spots. Our hotel was across the way in Virginia, but you could literally just go across the river and you're in DC. There's plenty of walking paths, running paths, restaurants, things to experience in the area. And we took full advantage of that, right? We went and did different things. So between going to Capitol Hill and then visiting with the representatives, Crime Stoppers USA held a conference while we were up there. And we spent a lot of time doing training to make sure that our organizations are on point with what we're doing following the mission, making sure there's a lot of teamwork, collaboration going on throughout the United States with these programs. And I couldn't help but notice while I was up there, in these various areas, that there were not homeless people that were doing drugs on the side of the street. I saw three folks that probably were experiencing homelessness, but they were all pretty in tune with what was going on, were nice and respectful. A complete and utter change in not really what I was expecting. I think that we get sold an idea down here in the region that we're in, especially south of here, that it's going on everywhere. That is not the case. I couldn't, it just was a completely different experience. So if you're going to go on vacation or go see something cool, really look at what's going on. It's kind of eye-opening. I couldn't help but when I got back into Tucson last night and was going down Park Avenue, one of the first things I saw coming down that road was folks using drugs and open air at a bus stop. So it's quite the contrast, as you would say. So take it for what it is. That's just what I experienced. Obviously, people are doing something different over there, and we should have conversations about it. I think the jig is up. I think we're done dealing, I think that we're done just accepting that. And when I say that, I think we just really need to get folks help. I don't think we're really helping them. I think we could do better. If these places are doing it, I don't understand.
