Welcome back to The Mina Kimes Show featuring Lenny, the only NFL podcast. One of the hosts thinks Mbappe is what his mom does to his nose when he's being a bad boy. That's Lenny.
I'm Mina Kimes. It's the World Cup, but we're still talking football, American football. I am dialed into the World Cup. Are you locked into the World Cup?
**Nate Tice** (0:49)
I am, I'm very dialed in. I had to turn off my TV.
**Mina Kimes** (0:52)
Like everybody, there's the USA, and then I feel like most people have a second team.
**Nate Tice** (0:58)
Yeah, but it was cooler when I barely knew soccer 20 something years ago.
I got into soccer via video game and via the 2006 World Cup, kind of 2 and then the 6 World Cup was really when I got into soccer. And we played where you, me and my friends was like, you can't play as Brazil, so you got to pick someone else. So I picked Germany. Like that was like some underdog team that never wins. So kind of sort of Germany, but that always feels a little bit cheating because they're like a little too good. But who cares? A lot of American fans pick powerhouses in soccer, especially with the EPL. So I feel okay.
**Mina Kimes** (1:30)
As of this recording, Spain is tied with Cape Verde. I doubt that'll be that'll hold, but that's crazy. Mine's obviously Korea, who had a great first win. So very exciting. All right. American football. Today is a very fun podcast. We are here to rank, as I do every year, the top 10 offenses of 2026
By the way, Nate, by the way, if you don't know, is the host of Football 301, which is an excellent podcast. You guys should go check out wherever you get your pods.
We texted a little bit. We have not revealed our lists to each other. I told you that I had about 14, and I was having a lot of trouble picking my final 10 And I think the five through 10 or six through 10, we could have wildly different results, which is really fun, right? Because we want difference. What was your feel at the end of doing this?
**Nate Tice** (2:24)
I got out to 15 And even Mike, I think we've talked about this. We've done many of ranking shows together, usually me on your show.
And I only bring you on to do pop culture ones. I was like, yeah, let's rank like football, TV things. Yeah, but I always have the same method.
The day before, whatever the first time I think on it, I open up that Google Doc and I just go, what does my brain think of first? Because that's kind of like what I want to go to, gut instinct, what comes to it. And then usually I marinate on it, sleep on it. Then I do the stat research, yada, yada. But I put down 15 teams and really, I would say my final list got down to 13 But yeah, so that's the range. But man, it was hard. This is hard. It's hard every year, but this was very hard.
**Mina Kimes** (3:09)
I always do at the end, like the ones that just missed the cut. But I'm sure some of mine that just missed the cut will be on our list and vice versa, I suspect. So I think I'm always a little unique in that I go one to ten. I start with one. I feel like a lot of people do countdowns. But I just think, I don't know, ten is where there's more debate at the end. And I think we're probably going to have a lot of the same teams in the top five. I told you I was pretty good about one and then two through four, I kept switching the order. You said you had a clear top two.
So I'll just go first and give you my one and you can tell me where you have them. The number one offense of 2026, I went with the Los Angeles Rams.
**Nate Tice** (3:54)
They're two for me. I want to have some fun here. But I can easily make an argument for one, but I have a clear top two. So it's Rams and Mystery Team as my other one.
