I know. How's it going? What's up? What's new? What's happening?

Laila (0:44)

Well, I was going to send you a voicemail today, just as we do, you know? And then I was like, no, I don't want to ruin, like I wanted to save it all for Couch Hang.

Megan (0:51)

No, that's perfect. That is smart. That's good to do.

Laila (0:54)

So we feeling rushed because I am rushed because I just, we just came back from the library.

Have you been to the library recently? Or my old library slash your library?

Megan (1:09)

Because remember how they redid that play area? Yes. Or there was like all under construction? I went a couple months ago. I saw, so maybe I have seen that.

Laila (1:20)

We have not been since like, I don't know.

Megan (1:23)

Yeah.

Laila (1:24)

What made you drive all the way back over here?

Laila (1:27)

Well, I have, I do not have a library card in my new city.

Megan (1:34)

Got it.

Laila (1:35)

So, and when we talk about this, the towns are literally next to each other.

Megan (1:39)

It's not a far drive. Yeah, it's not a big deal. It took me 15 minutes to get there. Her city's library is nicer than my library though. So I'm like, if I was going to choose, I'd probably pick your library, but it makes sense.

It makes sense. I understand.

Laila (1:53)

I haven't gotten a library card and I haven't even updated my address yet.

Megan (1:58)

Yeah.

So I placed a hold for a book, actually, the Mom Club Besties Book Club Book. I picked it up from the library today. And I'm going to be doing some double dipping, which don't, don't rat on me, everybody. Okay. I know that this is not ethically sound.

But it was time for me to renew my old library card at Your City's library. And I got an email that was like, you're due to renew. So I went in today. I also renewed my library card. So I'll have that for two years. Now I can finally change my address, get my new library card and double dip, baby, for two years.

Megan (2:45)

For the book lover herself, you need it. Like, it has to be done.

Laila (2:50)

And I'm also very excited to then have access to two libraries, Libby's.

Megan (2:55)

Yes, that's a big deal. That was a big deal. Absolutely.

So, have fun.

Laila (3:00)

So anyway, so we went to the play area and it was crazy. So like the tree isn't there anymore.

Megan (3:05)

Right, which thank God, honestly, that-

Laila (3:07)

I know, because it was like no climbing. And I was like, this is literally a climbing structure.

Megan (3:10)

All the kids want to do is climb on it. That's what it's for. So this is really awkward, because I'm telling my kid not to do the thing they're really supposed to be doing when you say we're not supposed to be doing it.

Laila (3:19)

You put in a climbing structure and you're telling them not to climb.

Megan (3:22)

Okay. Yeah, a toddler, I'm like, hey, how much screaming do you want in your library? That's on you. Like, let's make this all-

It's, yeah, anyways. In the kid section. It is nice.

Laila (3:33)

In the kid section. It's not like-

Megan (3:34)

Correct.

Laila (3:35)

Yeah.

So funny. But yeah, it was nice, and they were definitely occupied for the- I let them play for 15 minutes so that we could make it back.

And they were really occupied for those 15 minutes, so just good.

Megan (3:47)

Brilliant. Okay, very fine. That'll be a good winter activity.
