And we are back. Thanks for joining us. The Clint Peek Show and its new time. I think this is, I've done so many of these. I don't remember what episode we're on. I know we're on the second episode of the new time frame. Thanks for joining us. Live The Dream.

You know, that just didn't come by accident. I want to follow up on something that David's going to talk about on Monday, or Friday, but he's out of town, so we recorded it. Live The Dream. We always start with something positive. You can't live the dream if you're down in the ditch all the time. So, I want to tell a real quick story. You may have heard this. I got some great guests who are standing by patiently, but I just felt like I needed to share this story. It's called Three Feet to Gold. You ever heard this story? So, way back in the late 1800s, maybe early 1900s, no one knows for sure, and no one remembers this guy's name, but he discovered gold in Colorado. He ran home to Ohio, got his all his friends and family who trusted him to invest some money in this. He bought a bunch of equipment, and he took his son or his nephew, UL. Darby was his name. We do know him, history recorded who he was. But they went back to Colorado.

They got to dig in, they got used to all their new equipment. They couldn't find any gold. They just dug and dug and dug and dug and dug and dug. And finally, they gave up. And the uncle sold the equipment to a scrap dealer. The scrap dealer had the good sense to get a... What's the guy's... What do they call him? Geography? What's the word? Help me out. Prospectors? Yeah. He got somebody that knew rocks, and he studied the rocks. They found one of the biggest loads Colorado had ever discovered, and they stopped three feet short of finding that mother load. Now, Darby went back. He was a kid when he went out, but he went back. He became one of the most successful insurance salespeople on the planet in North America. And he always used that philosophy of, I'm three feet from gold. So he became a really so I use that analogy is, if you're struggling this morning with anything, don't give up. You know what? Maybe step back a little bit, but do not give up. Maybe get somebody that knows what they're talking about or knows what they're doing involved in the project. So with that, I'm going to call you doctor to start with. Tony, come give us a hand real quick.

We're going to we're going to we're having a little technical issue. I think we got it. With that, Dr. Reverend Stanley Reeder and his lovely wife, Janet, have joined me this morning. These are some of my new best friends.

You know how you meet somebody some time? It doesn't happen often, but it does happen on occasion. And you just know, like at that moment, there's just that little spark of whatever it's going to be.

It doesn't happen probably often enough, but I've said to people over the years, probably said it to you guys. I know I've said it to you. You're going to be one of my new best friends. Welcome to the show.

Janet Reeder (3:59)

Thank you.

Clint Peek (4:00)

So I want to start with you. How did you find this guy?

Janet Reeder (4:06)

Well, I grew up in Nova Scotia, far east coast of Canada.

Clint Peek (4:09)

A couple of Canadians on the show this morning.

Janet Reeder (4:12)

And so he grew up in Ontario.

But there was a Canadian Nazarene College in the middle of Canada in Winnipeg, the coldest place on earth. And so that was served all of Canada. So we both met at the college and we are college sweethearts. And we've been married for 43 years.

Clint Peek (4:37)

43 years.

Janet Reeder (4:38)

44

Clint Peek (4:38)

44 Once you get to the bigger numbers, you have to stop and think about it.

Stanley Reeder (4:45)

I'm glad you made that mistake.

Clint Peek (4:46)

How many?

Janet Reeder (4:47)

I know.
