A package set unopened on Natalia's kitchen table in Boston. It was from Natalia's father, her retired plumber, living in Kazakhstan. A few weeks later, she learned her father passed away.

She finally opened the box. It was full of pages in Russian, typed and handwritten. There were physics equations and complex math formulas. There were drawings and detailed schematics for advanced technology. Natalia and her husband looked over the documents, confused.

The last thing the plumber did before he died was send his family instructions for how to build a UFO.

Anybody who's spent real time around crypto learns the same lesson eventually. The price chart is the exciting part, but it's not what decides whether a tool is worth using. That comes down to the stuff underneath. Fees, spread, and how fast your Bitcoin can actually move. If you're already in crypto, you probably don't need someone to explain Bitcoin from scratch. What matters is the experience around it, what it costs to buy, how easily you can move it, and whether you can actually use it. Alia is an opera singer. She grew up in Latvia in a one room apartment. Her parents went into debt to buy her a piano, and it sat in the kitchen. Her father, Valery Chernyayev, died in Kazakhstan on December 30th, 2019

By the time she got the news, he was already buried. The box was her father's answer to a phone call earlier that month. Natalia told her father that her son was into aerospace. Her father said he'd sent over some things that he worked on in his career. Maybe his grandson would find them interesting. About two weeks later, a DHL package showed up from Kazakhstan. It went on The Bitcoin... was a stable, and life piled up on top of it. There were the holidays, a new move, and a stack of immigration paperwork. A couple of weeks after he died, Natalia had a dream about her father. He was young and healthy, and he wore a suit. He told her he couldn't help her with her singing. Then he handed her a stack of papers. So Natalia remembered to open the box. Her husband Gene read over her shoulder, but he doesn't read Russian.

Natalia (3:19)

I always thought my father was a plumber, a plumber who wrote some scientific papers as a side gig. Then I opened the box and Gene kept asking me, what does it say? What does it say?

And I told him, it's a UFO. I was petrified and mesmerized at the same time.

AJ Gentile (3:42)

Gene isn't easily rattled. He spent most of the 1990s in the Air Force, and his job was guarding nuclear weapons. After that, he worked security for energy companies around the world and did contract work for the CIA on energy security. He'd seen a lot of documents. He'd never seen anything like these.

There were 119 pages. Some were typed and some were handwritten in black and red and blue and green ink.

Heckelfish (4:05)

Oh, four colors of ink, huh? This man owned a big clicky pen. Respect.

AJ Gentile (4:10)

Her father split them into 12 numbered works. The first one was a paper that said Einstein got relativity wrong. It was some heavy stuff. One page had a drawing of a disc with a dome in the middle. Next to it, her father wrote down the diameter of the saucer, the weight of the saucer, and where the cabin goes.

He called the crew humanoids. On another page, he typed a warning in capital letters. This is technology from the 22nd century.
