This is our first episode. And before we dive in, I thought it was important to give a little personal context. Reincarnation is something I never believed in. Growing up, I was Christian. And interestingly enough, my dad was an atheist. And as far apart as our beliefs were, the one thing we both thought to be certain was that when this one life ends, that's it. And beyond that, the part of my personality that loves science and logic and reason could not take seriously the idea that consciousness or a soul could choose to come back into another body because it felt so tied to just one. And then something happened that I never expected. I stumbled into a project that would become the telepathy tapes, a six-year investigation into claims from non-speaking individuals that they could read minds. That revelation was confounding enough.
