We all know Saturday's game time can get a little messy. Your crew came over to watch, snacks on the table, drinks in hand, and somebody's celebrating like they just won the whole season and beyond. And when that energy gets going, your walls can end up taking the hit. Whether it's a big spill or a noticeable scuff, that's where Bayer Ultra Interior Paint comes in. It adds an extra durable stain blocking finish that helps your walls hold up for the whole season. It also delivers outstanding coverage and hide and fewer coats of easy application and a smooth even finish that goes on clean from the first pass. Plus that easy clean finish helps walls stay looking new longer. So before the next kickoff, give your space game ready defense and coverage that goes the distance. Bayer Ultra only at the Home Depot.

Welcome to Fantasy Focus Football. It is Monday, September 21st. Our week two wrap up show is upon us. We have not our normal crew today. It's the great, the venerable Liz Loza is sitting in for Daniel Dopp. It's Daniel's wife's birthday.

So happy birthday to Rosie Dopp and big thanks to Liz for hanging out with us today.

Liz Loza (1:18)

Happy to be here. I've been here since Saturday.

Field Yates (1:20)

You're burning the midnight oil right now too.

Liz Loza (1:22)

I've been up for a little bit. And what a day of football did we have? Wow.

SPEAKER_4 (1:26)

It was something.

Mike Clay (1:27)

Why are you smiling when you say that? Cause I wasn't smiling at all yesterday.

Liz Loza (1:30)

I was smiling, but I did get to experience the war room, which I have yet to do this season. And that is always an enlivening experience.

Field Yates (1:36)

We had this very high scoring week one and relatively clean injury slate. And then week two was like, not so fast. My friends, as we are going to do every single Monday, we will begin our game by game recap. One of us will take the lead on a game. The others will fill in any potential missing pieces. And of course, we start with Liz Loza. And we're going to start with an injury of note in DC.

Liz Loza (1:59)

Yes. Now there's a buzzer on this, so I have to be rather concise.

SPEAKER_3 (2:03)

If you run lunch, Mike Clay.

Field Yates (2:04)

We're out of time.

Liz Loza (2:05)

Next game.

All right. So the Commander's Cowboys matchup, commanders fell 20 to 37 at Dallas. Biggest news obviously is that Jayden Daniels was carted off the field with an elbow injury in the last play of the first half. This is the second elbow injury for him on that same elbow. This stunk, man. Like the energy completely deflated from the war room, from the field. He had sadly also rushed for 69 yards up until that point was looking a little vintage. We had seen shades of that in week one. There seemed to be some momentum going on. He had also connected with Stefan Diggs on a four yard touchdown before exiting. Let's talk about Diggs for a second. Oh, Adam Schefter also telling us that today's x-ray on the elbow showed no fracture. So that's good news. I will have to monitor that situation moving forward, but obviously it doesn't feel great. Neither did his O-lines reaction. I'll leave other people to debate that. Stefan Diggs, though, a bit of a homecoming, as we discussed at the top of the season. He accounted for both of the team's touchdowns, actually. One via the aforementioned Daniels and the other in the second half after Marcus Mariota took over for him. Proving to be quite an excellent acquisition for the team.

His six targets, however, were tied for the second on the team with Rashad White. It was Terry McLaurin who actually led the team in looks. He managed to draw nine, but was not particularly efficient with his opportunities. Only converted two of those for 50 yards. This is my favorite player in the league, I've decided. I love Terry McLaurin, favorite player in the league. Very apprehensive about his fantasy prospects moving forward, though.

Field Yates (3:45)

Who does start the season?

SPEAKER_4 (3:46)

It's not great, not great.

Liz Loza (3:47)

Should we move to the cowboy side of the ball?

Mike Clay (3:49)

Of all the hype around him, too, in the off season.

Liz Loza (3:51)

I know, after getting paid at the beginning of last season, too.

Field Yates (3:56)

The only thing I'll say before we move on from the defenders is that not so fast on giving this job to Jacori Kroski-Merritt in the backfield, decided at snap-ed for Rashad White, 53.7 to 34.3 for Kroski-Merritt, and more importantly, six targets, six catches for Rashad White, just one target, which is not an atypical number for Jacori Kroski-Merritt, but wasn't efficient enough as a runner, not going to see enough volume in the passing game. More than anything, this feels like a stay away backfield.
