What's good, friends? Welcome into Fantasy Focus Football, alongside Michael Lester Clay Jr. and Field Minister Yates. My name is Daniel David Dopp. We're breaking out the government names today. How good would that be?
**Field Yates** (1:00)
That would be quite a good name. Yeah, let's change it.
**Daniel Dopp** (1:01)
It is now.
**Mike Clay** (1:02)
Why not?
**Daniel Dopp** (1:03)
Why not?
**Mike Clay** (1:03)
Call me Daniel Baby. Like half the players in the NFL just go with whatever name they want. There's a lot of names.
**Daniel Dopp** (1:09)
That's not how that works, Mike.
**Mike Clay** (1:11)
Matthew Stafford, that's not his name.
**Field Yates** (1:12)
What's his real name?
**Daniel Dopp** (1:13)
What's his name?
**Mike Clay** (1:13)
His first name is, I forget.
**Field Yates** (1:15)
What is it? No.
**Mike Clay** (1:17)
What is it? It's a different name? Dak Prescott is Rain Dakota.
**Daniel Dopp** (1:24)
John Matthew Stafford.
**Mike Clay** (1:25)
John Stafford, that's it.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:26)
No, that's the easy name to forget, John.
**Mike Clay** (1:28)
There's way more of them than you realize.
**Daniel Dopp** (1:30)
Hey, we got a big show coming up for you guys today. Really excited about where we're going to do a mock draft analysis of what we did yesterday. Our 10-team mock draft. Going to be a quick recap of what we think of our teams, and we're going to dive into a bunch of rookie talk. Our guy, Field Yates, doing first draft every single week now. New podcast just came out on Monday. Go check that out once you're done listening to this show. But we're going to dive into a bunch of rookie conversation. Obviously, we had a big injury that happened to one of the rookies.
I'm going to save it rather than go off the top. We'll put it into that part of the show. But I do want to really quickly dive into a little bit of news that we have, because Keenan Allen signed this morning? Last night?
**Field Yates** (2:10)
I think it was like 1130 last night.
**Daniel Dopp** (2:11)
1130 PM last night.
**Field Yates** (2:12)
I was asleep, I've got to admit it. And by the way, Michael Keenan Allen.
**Daniel Dopp** (2:16)
Oh, OK, that's fair. Michael Keenan Allen.
**Field Yates** (2:18)
He was by Keenan for short form, yes.
**Daniel Dopp** (2:20)
But sides with the Colts.
With this squad, obviously back with the team, and now we're in a situation. We were in on the Colts for a couple of things, but they got three pass catchers that were there. Alec Pearce, we already had kind of a little ways down. We have Tyler Warren, who we were really in on with all the targets that had been vacated with Michael Pittman leaving and maybe Josh Downs. How does Michael, excuse me, how does Michael Keenan Allen, I almost had it, how does Keenan Allen impact the way that you're going to look at this Colts offense?
**Field Yates** (2:45)
First of all, shout out the insider himself, Mr. Michael Lester Clay, who did say a couple days ago, maybe it was yesterday, Keenan Allen to the Colts watch is officially on.
**Mike Clay** (2:54)
Yeah, that was, I hate to say it, but kind of a layup as far as those dot connections go. I mean, they had a very clear void at the number three spot, let alone the fact that Alec Pierce is not fully healthy. So yeah, trust me, I'm not taking credit for that one. That was one that a lot of people have been speculating and makes perfect sense.
**Field Yates** (3:12)
Well, Mike, we tried to give you credits and instead you denied said credits. So I was trying to give Mike credit and say, nice call on Keenan Allen.
I will continue to give Mike credit for Keenan Allen. So there are a few ways to read this. On the one hand, he's signing on August 18th. Man, like all those injuries have piled up. Stephen Holder, our Colts reporter, has noted like, man, I'm surprised it took this long. This has been months in the making. Shane Steichen and Keenan Allen go all the way back to Steichen's days with the Chargers, which is during one of Allen's earlier tenures with Los Angeles. I think to myself, yeah, I mean, you could read into this that it's just because of the injuries the Colts have had throughout the training camp and off-season. It also is the fact that Keenan Allen is like, what, 34?
