Our favorite running backs in each round. That's just what we're talking about today on RotoViz Overtime is myself, Colm Kelly. I'm joined by Shawn Siegele. We are drafting on the FFPC $125 best ball tournament heading. On our way, hopefully, Shawn, to some major cash prizes, but on our way to doing that, we're going to draft the team. We're going to talk about some running backs. People will know that often maybe Shawn likes to steer me in the direction of a running back, and I maybe push back a little bit. But on today's show, Shawn, maybe for the purposes of educating the audience, having some fun, maybe we'll draft some running backs here in the early rounds. We did get spot number 10 We drafted from spot number 12 recently. I'm looking forward to seeing how this one goes. Maybe I can tempt Shawn into Trey McBride here at the back of the first round of Brock Byers was to make it. That would also be a dream, but I don't think that's going to be on the agenda. Shawn, time to have some fun here graphing at the FFPC. How are you doing?

Good. Good. Yeah, we had a very fun draft recently together. We're back after a little bit of a break, Colm. I've been writing like crazy.
Hopefully, listeners who aren't anyway interested will be able to go and purchase a novel. I mean, that's a long process. So a couple of years from now, right? But still very exciting.
Yeah, the dog days of summer, a perfect opportunity to get some good drafts in before people figure out exactly where they actually need to be. We're coming down to the end of the first round here. And I certainly wanted to push you in the direction of a couple of running backs. I mean, that is the theme.

The player I was looking at, Ashton Jeanty, just went. And Rob Bowers has fallen to us. That seems like a pretty easy selection.

Shawn, I said it wasn't on the agenda.
I didn't think he would get his way here. I think it would make sense. There's him, there's James Cook, there's CD. Lamb, there's Justin Jefferson. There's a number of interesting names. I popped the draft board up here, and I think that we have to take buyers there at that point. So CD. Lamb goes one pick after, James Cook goes. Shawn, we might get true two rounds without selecting a running back, but you can hit me with some suggestions here if you want to do that because usually you would have a number of names here. Maybe Jonathan Taylor, he went at number four in this draft. We're back up. Hampton did go, who I do like in this area. Might be a little bit too much to take the second tight end here. Who are you thinking at our second pick?

Well, I mean, if McBride is here, we have to take McBride. If you go Bowers, McBride. I mean, that is the automatic, straightforward, dominate the contest selection. I was going to pitch you Omarion Hampton. Obviously, we have a number of shares. I've been way above ADP on him. But one of the things that has happened since we last talked is that Hampton has risen basically into the area where I have said he should be. There's still plenty of risk with that. We have a very wide range of potential outcomes. But unlike, I would say, Cook and the rest of the guys right here, Hampton has the ability to be 2027's 101 Colm. It is going to be Trey McBride for us, Brock Bauer's Trey McBride.
I do have some things that can use this money on. The house is still out there in Tucson. I'm going to go ahead and make some arrangements now.

Yeah, this is pretty wild, Shawn. I like the way that I set it up. I was giving you, who do you want to have? We will not take Trey McBride. Brock Bauer isn't going to get to us. It's all worked out perfectly.
Sometimes I feel like if I'm drafting a team, when we get to taking too tight ends early in drafts, I have to really try and push it with Shawn here. I knew I could put those signals out into the universe and he would make those selections. But I do have to say I did a Scott Feshbowl draft recently, the live draft in Ireland, which was a brilliant experience to meet up with a lot of the people over this side of the pond, but I did do a solo show on Monday. I talked about my team, Shawn, tight ends through two rounds, ended up with four tight ends through six was the process there. So maybe we'll not go as tight and heavy in this particular format. But obviously, with the premium, ending up there with Bowers and McBride is certainly a fun little start. We'll see how we manage it the rest of the way through. It is a little bit, Shawn, of picking the running back, that's going as the second running back in round two and Hampton as the best pick. But I really do like, when we're looking at round two here, we go with A Chan, Hampton, Chase Brown, Barclay, Kenneth Walker, then Derek Henry, then Jeremiah Love.
