So the ultimate dating versus go live, that battle. Bloody hell. Jimmy versus go live. All right. Moving on, guys, we've got Mindset Epp today, which I think is a good one. And a lot of people sort of asking the question these days, specifically with all the changes that have come about with the recent changes in policy off the back of the budget. And then everything has flowed on since then, SMSF lending. Everything has sort of been changed off the back of pretty much the last sort of three to four months, call it.
A lot of people sort of continually asking, writing in, asking around this, like, Sammy, if you were to start again from scratch, what would you do? What would you go back and tell your younger self in these scenarios? So that's what we're in here today to discuss. And I think really sort of peel back the layers of, again, rewinding. I know Brendo, you actually, because I bought my first deal at 19, you were the same, right? You bought your first property at 19
Yeah, and that was a Renault deal down in Newy, you're saying?

It was, yeah. The place we paid 250k for back in the day. It was nice and close to home, which was, yeah, we're going to get into it obviously, but probably not the right decision at the time. Yeah, for sure. We did jump in.

**Sammy Gordon** (2:35)
But everyone starts at different times. And I think you and I are starting at 19 Luke, you would have bought your first one 24, 25?

**Brendo** (2:41)
24, yeah.

**Sammy Gordon** (2:42)
24, Liam?

**Brendo** (2:43)
Pretty much the same as Luke. Same as Luke, yeah.

So everyone's picked, oh yeah, within five years of each other within that. But I think it's an interesting one because the longer this thing stretches out, and I think whether this is a message for the younger generation of whether you're 19, buying it like we were, Brendo, or you're in your 20s, but there's some people in their 30s and 40s. And if anything, the further, and 50s listening to this sort of thing, going and looking to buy. And I think the longer that window stretches from when they bought their first property, or let's say they've never bought before, they're sort of getting, the further they get on, what I find is typically the more fear they actually have. And they may already have their primary residence, but they've never dipped the toe into the investing pool. And I think, yeah, this is what I really want to sort of peel back a little bit today, kind of to cover all facets within that. But I think sort of to give a bit of galvanizing steel, I guess, around everything to do without making the decisions, how to make sure you're making the right decisions, and I guess educating yourself correctly as well. So that's what today's potty is all about. But if we, I guess rewind to the earliest of all of us would have bought, because I'm a few years younger than you, Brendo, and you bought the first one in 19 So you must have been, what, that must have been in 2005, 2006?
