The Beginning of the End - Part 2

InGrace with Jim Scudder

September 29, 2026

I'm glad he doesn't reveal everything to us. I'm glad there are things that I cannot understand, because if I can understand everything, then he's not all powerful and all wise and all knowing.

Welcome back to InGrace. This is Jim Scudder. Hey, today we are near the end of the month, end of September, which is amazing. I really am starting to enjoy this time of year with the weather. It's getting nicer, cooler. I don't really love heat, and so I'm looking forward to the fall and to the cooler temperatures. But listen, the world is heating up and the Lord's return is imminent. Yesterday on our series Armageddon's Dawn, we talked about this mighty angel that we read about in Revelation chapter 10, The Appearance. Today we're gonna talk about that angel's voice and his revealing, and as this is very unusual, he's going to be eating this book. And so this is really odd, and as I said in the opening quote, some of the things in Revelation, it really is hard to understand. Now, I think most of Revelation we can understand. I think some people say, well, I can't understand any of it, so I'm not gonna read any of it. No, no, no, we can understand most of it, but there are a few things that are just really hard to understand. But aren't you glad we serve a God that is beyond us? And so I don't mind some of that here and there in the Bible. Anyways, so we're gonna be getting into this and we've got so much more in our series. The Armageddon Prophecy Chart will really help you as we go through this series, and it's free from us here at InGrace. All you have to do is call us and get it 1-800-78-GRACE.

1-800-78-GRACE, that's the number my dad used to say is unforgettable. 1-800-78-GRACE, now try to forget it. Or you can go to our website ingraceradio.com and get the Armageddon Prophecy Chart. And we also have a book, The Spiritual War Against Israel. It will help you know how to defend biblical Zionism and also help you understand Israel's place in God's prophetic plan. This book is really, really popular. We'd love to send you a copy. For your gift of any amount, we'll send it to you 1-800-78-GRACE or ingraceradio.com.

The second thing we're going to see is the voice. We just saw the appearance of the mighty angel, but now we're going to see the voice of seven mighty thunders. In verse three of Revelation 10, it says, And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth. Have you ever heard a lion roar? Now, it might be one thing at a zoo when you have a really nice fence or moat between you and the lion, but can you imagine if you're in the middle of a village in Africa and you're in this flimsy hut and you hear the lion roar?

What would that do to you?

I mean, it would, every hair would stand up and it would be just, you'd be tingling because it's a symbol of power, right? And of might. The loud voice. And when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered and write them not. What an interesting passage. Very interesting. You remember that Jesus is called the lion of the tribe of Judah.

The lion's roar is a sound of imminent judgment.

And as the world hears that roar of the lion of the tribe of Judah, it means that the Lord is going to bring righteousness and put down evil.

Hosea 11, verse 10 also speaks of this, and it says, They shall walk after the Lord. He shall roar like a lion. And when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west. Yeah. And they should. And you would if you heard that voice. In Joel 3, 16, prophetically says, The Lord also shall roar out of Zion and utter his voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth shall shake. But the Lord will be the hope of his people and the strength of the children of Israel. I gave you one verse in Psalm 29, but I'm going to turn there and I'm going to read the whole passage. It's a short Psalm. In Psalm 29, this is very interesting. It speaks of the voice of the Lord many times. And as we read through Psalm 29, I'd like for you to count the times that we read the voice of the Lord. Given to the Lord, O ye mighty, and given to the Lord glory and strength, given to the Lord the glory due unto his name, worship the Lord in beauty of holiness. The voice of the Lord is upon the waters. The God of glory thundereth. The Lord is upon many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars, yea, and the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. He maketh them also to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Siren like a young unicorn. And the voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire. The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness. The Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calf and discovereth the forest. And in his temple doth everyone speak of his glory. The Lord sitteth upon the flood. Yea, the Lord sitteth king forever. The Lord will give strength unto his people. The Lord will bless his people with peace. How many times did we read the voice of the Lord? Isn't that interesting? Seven times. And how many thunders did we hear when the voice of the Lord spoke? Seven thunders. The power of God resonating throughout the universe.
