Welcome to the continuation of The Tales of Troy and The Odyssey. Previously, Odysseus was still being held on Calypso's beautiful island, longing to return to Ithaka despite her offer of immortality. At last, the gods intervened and Calypso was ordered to let him go, allowing Odysseus to build a raft and set out across the sea. His escape was almost destroyed when Poseidon sent a violent storm that shattered his raft and left him struggling for life. Exhausted, Odysseus finally reached the land of the Phoenicians, where he was discovered by the young princess Nausicaa. She showed him kindness, gave him food and clothing, and directed him towards the palace where he might finally find help on his journey home.

Coming up, Odysseus finally enters the magnificent palace of the Phoenicians, where he must place his trust in strangers if he is ever to reach home. Our royal feast, songs of Troy, and a challenge among the young men of the court begin to stir memories and emotions he has tried hard to contain, and before long, the mysterious traveller may find it increasingly difficult to keep his true identity hidden.
