All right, how's it going, everybody? My name is Antonio, and this is your weekly Junior Mining Overview for Week 31 this week. Today, I'm gonna go over the biggest moves in the Junior Mining space, the best performers and the worst performers. And I'm gonna try to hold the wife jokes for once, but I cannot promise that I'm gonna hold the ginger jokes, because this week, you don't get one ginger, you actually get two gingers. For once, I'm actually not alone. I mean, I am in Junior Mining, so I guess I'm never really alone. But this week, I'm joined by Scott North, and he's gonna talk to us about what's happening down under. So I've actually found a ginger Aussie, someone who's ginger and has an Aussie accent at the same time to make the episode a little bit easier to digest. But yeah, I also have him on to tell us what's moving down under and see what the best performers are there.
So Scott, thank you for doing this.

Thanks, Antonio. Great to be here. Yeah, so very excited to be here, run through the best and worst performers on the ASX. I think covering ASX and the Canadian markets will give the viewers a well-rounded view of the natural resource landscape.

Yeah. Yeah, so it was basically like we were talking and you're like, let me show you what an actual real market looks like and it moves in terms of volumes and everything else. It's going to be fun to contrast those as we go through it. I'm just happy someone's joining me here because it's actually been a pretty bad week.
The markets are like that meme where it's like we're done, we're back, we're done, we're back. Then this week, we're back on the we're done page. It's gold and silver closed basically flat, gold is still about $4,000, silver is still below $4,000.
It would be 57 if you'd believe. Copper is up a bit, it's nearing 650 here soon, so it's trending up nicely over the last month, but the stocks didn't really care about any of that because in junior mining, we only hear about feelings, not about actual fundamentals. So GDXJ closed down 4% on the week. And so did SILJ, actually both more than 4% in the red, down pretty much the same amount that both of them. COPJ was mercifully up, it closed down flat, it closed down only a half a percent. And that's where copper is again trending up nicely on the month. And the COPJ ETF is basically flat on the month as well. It's up less than 1%.
And I'm going to try my best not to lark as a macro economist here, but all of this is happening after the Fed decided to hold the rates unchanged in the US. Even though there were a lot of guys within the Fed and obviously outside of it, but within politics, pushing for rates to go lower. So could this be the last stretch of the pain and will infinite free money come to save us again? Well, I sure hope so, because I cannot say not much many more times to my wife than what I've done already, especially when she asked me what's going on with the portfolio these days. But yeah, anyway, mininghub.com is the one making this weekly overview possible. Their sponsor of the show, but more importantly, they provide the tech which we use to go over the movers here. You don't even have to listen to us. You can create your own free account on mininghub.com. Use your own parameters and filters to create your own list of the top five or top 10 or top 20 movers. And if you do, you'll also get a free email newsletter every day that shows you all the news within junior mining. There's one newsletter for Canada and there's a separate one for Australia, again, all of which for free. Now, I'm going to quickly run through the top three gainers and the top three losers in Canada this week, and then Scott's going to do the same for whatever's happening down under. And then each of us will kind of provide a few questions that we would ask management if we were talking to these companies right now.
Now, I'm actually going to skip the first two best performers here because one is an OTC listed company and then the other one is not really a mining or an exploration company. And as much as I'd like to pretend to know what they're doing, even I wouldn't go that far, but first up really on the list is XXIX Metal Corp, whose flagship is a historic copper mine in Quebec, which they want to potentially open pit mine. They're up 41% this week, really on no news that could move the stock that much, or at least not really that important of news, not even on the same day as the stock moved, but I'll say a few words on that later. After that, there's Hercules Metals, that's an exploration company with a large copper, silver, porphyry discovery in Idaho. It's up 35% on management changes. This was actually a big deal, so I'll say more about that as well. Then the third best performer was Miata Metals, who's an exploration company. They've got a project in Suriname on the same Guyana Shield as Founders Metals. They're up 24% on financing news with a very big buy-side name in the resource space taking 19.9%.
