Hello, and welcome to Episode 1028 of the official establishtherun.com podcast. My name is Adam Levitan. I am one of the co-founders here at ETR. As always, joined by fellow co-founder Evan Silva, and we are three weeks into the NFL season. Some real trends are indeed developing.

Evan, how's it going today?

Evan Silva (0:38)

It's going all right. I mean, I was depressed after week two. I mean, there were so many injuries and the weather ruined things. And this past week, I think we had a much better week. Sam Brott of ETR won a bunch of money. Dave Iurego of ETR won a bunch of money. I saw a bunch of subscribers winning a bunch of money. I crushed on my bets. So yeah, I'm taking down Polymarket. I'm a little worried about Polymarket actually.

I'm taking them to the woodshed.

Adam Levitan (1:09)

That's so good. Yes, special shout out to, of course, Brott and Iurego, but also Ataros, one of the best DFS players out there, who won the Millie on Fan Duel this week. Shout out to him.

On today's show, we are going to go team by team through all 32 NFL franchises, discussing the most important things we saw in each and what it means going forward. Usage, injuries, performance, everything.

Quick reminder for anyone serious about fantasy football or DFS this NFL season. Clearly, I'm biased, but I could not imagine trying to play seriously without the ETR In-Season product. I pour over our projections for every decision that I make. I read Silva's matchups for his take on every player in every game. I consult Thorne's rankings. Tons more. Plus, you get all our premium shows like Silva vs. Leone, Weekly Man vs. Machine, myself, Silva and Wiggins on Friday nights, myself and Silva on Sunday mornings for last minute live stream. So head to the content schedule in the NFL tab for a full list that is the In-Season NFL product at establishtherun.com.

All right. Going to start with the five biggest stories of the week, and then we'll go team by team in alphabetical order after that. Story one, Evan, comes from Las Vegas. The Raiders go to New Orleans and win a wild one, 35-27 over the Saints. But the reason this is the number one story of the week is because it was the return of the chosen one. Brock Bowers had the 2025 PCL issue, had the August 2026 knee issue, makes his season debut here and just immediately shreds. 10 catches, 116 yards, and a touchdown on a 39% target share. I mean, it's been one game, Evan. If we were redrafting today, I'd be hard pressed not to consider Brock Bowers in round one, Evan. What do you think of Bowers' return and anything else Raiders related?

Evan Silva (3:21)

Yeah, people will throw around the terms like unicorn and generational. This guy is those things. I actually heard, Daniel Jeremiah did a show this morning. I listened to it and he was like, you know, we have a bunch of awesome wide receivers in this league, Jackson Smith and Jigba, Jamar Chase. Brock Bowers is the hardest cover in the entire NFL. I mean, he's out there whipping a cornerback in Kool-Aid and McKinstry.

And they're using him like an ex-receiver. Clint Kubiak is almost like Jackson Smith and Jigba. You know, Brock Bowers is the Raiders' No. 1 receiver. And he's going to be treated like that going forward. Another 20 plus touches for Ashton Gentey. He's got 20 plus touches in every game so far. Raiders are 3-0.

Adam Levitan (4:07)

Yeah, I mean, the thing about this Brock Bowers stuff is the pedigree.

It just makes me feel so confident that this is actually him. It's not some like blip or outlier. Remember, he won the Mackey Award twice, Nation's Best Tight End, 2022 and 23, while competing with some serious hard competition in college. Then as a rookie, catches 112 balls as a rookie tight end. That was a record. And then in 2025, just season wrecked by the PCL. So yeah, they're using him like a wide receiver, as Silva said. Michael Mayer is also playing almost every snap. Brock Bowers was slot or wide for 45 snaps in line for only nine. And so like, yeah, man, I mean, it's just total, total freak.

Evan mentioned Genty. Do you have any concerns on Genty efficiency, Evan? He has faced the Dolphins and he was reasonably efficient. He had 2.3 yards per carry against the Chargers in week two, 2.9 yards per carry in week three against the Saints. Mike Washington was the one who broke off the 36 yard touchdown run impressive run. Do you have any concern around Genty efficiency right now?
