Tarps Off, Peeing in the Backyard & Wellness Darties

The Rizzuto Show | Daily Comedy Podcast

September 17, 2026

It’s hot in St. Louis. Like, “everybody in the neighborhood has given up on shirts” hot. Lern’s porch has gone tarps off, Rizz is worried his shirtless yard work would lower property values, and somehow that leads to the crew comparing how often they pee in their own backyards.

Speakers Rizzuto, Rafe, Lern, Moon, Devon

All right, guys, let's go. It's Thursday.

Rafe (1:09)

Lord. Thursday.

Rizzuto (1:10)

This week is moving hella slow. Dude. That's right, I said hella.

Lern (1:13)

Last week was also slow, and that was like a shortened week. And then I knew this week was gonna be brutal. Every day is taking forever. Stand you up.

Rizzuto (1:21)

It's the heat.

Lern (1:22)

You think?

Rizzuto (1:23)

Yeah, I think so.

Lern (1:24)

We get a break next week from it, thank God. But I'm done. My neighbor, Greg, I'm out on my porch last night saying good night to Mr. Gray before I start the process, getting ready for bed, whatnot. And I'm out there with Mr. Gray, just having cuddle time, and my neighbor comes out, and he's like, nobody's, it's tarps off in Ellisville, dude.

I had a sports bra on, Greg's shirtless, everybody down my street is either in a sports bra or just bare chested. And we're yelling at each other from across, and he was shirtless, talking about this damn heat. Yeah, we're like, we're sick of it.

Rizzuto (1:59)

Have you ever done yard work shirtless in the front of your house?

Moon (2:04)

Possibly.

Yeah, possibly. Not frequently, but back in the day.

Rizzuto (2:09)

Backyard, yes.

Lern (2:10)

Tim is always shirtless doing the yard work.

Devon (2:12)

Oh, yeah.

Lern (2:13)

Get it out. Yes. Thirst trap.

Devon (2:16)

Yeah.

Rizzuto (2:16)

Rafe, homeowner, front yard, tarps off.

Rafe (2:21)

Yeah, it's my yard.

Lern (2:22)

That's right.

Rafe (2:24)

I saw a dude at Songs for Soldiers last weekend. Several people comment on this man's body, positivity and confidence. It was so hot. This guy was like, tarps off, barely bottom tarps on.

Jeans shorts, chain wallet, crack kills, but dancing his ass off. I mean, he looked like he's about to deliver twins. He was, I love that. That's my people. That's my body style. It was an uncle body all the way, and he was rocking it, dude.

Rizzuto (2:53)

I feel like if I was doing yard work with my shirt off in front of the house, property values would be lower.

Moon (3:00)

Oh man, that might be against some bylaws.

Rizzuto (3:03)

I think it's against the HOA.

Lern (3:04)

But we were talking last night, my neighbor and I, and again, shouting from across the road, because neither one of us want to actually go to each other's yard, because it's just not the moment.

But we're talking about getting our Halloween decor out, and I'm like, Greg, it's too hot. He's like, I know, but the kids need this.

Moon (3:20)

Do the kids need it?

Lern (3:21)

He's like, I want to go all out.

Devon (3:23)

It's September 16th, 17th.

Lern (3:26)

We like to...

Rizzuto (3:26)

You wait till October 1st. You wait till October 1st.

Lern (3:30)

No. The minute it gets cool, pumpkins are out.

Moon (3:34)

Yeah, you know how much money has been spent on this stuff?

Devon (3:36)

Let me see those pumpkins.

Rizzuto (3:37)

Let me see those pumpkins. Yeah, I've never... You know, I just... I don't have the confidence, honestly. I don't have the confidence to do yard work.

I look like a sasquatch.

Lern (3:49)

So?

Moon (3:50)

A sasquatch.

Rizzuto (3:50)

People entertain by that. I look like a sasquatch.

Lern (3:54)

You'll be a story and somebody's like dinner.

Rafe (3:56)

If I'm being honest, I probably would have. I don't know.

Rizzuto (4:00)

You're too new.

Rafe (4:02)

I don't want to open up that can of worms for everybody else in the neighborhood, because you could be the only guy.
