Can I give you a bit of advice? 0:00 Intro2:15 My friend has been talking about Dragon Ball for too long https://www.reddit.com/r/needadvice/comments/f4x6e0/were_in_doing_a_podcast_with_a_friend_and_hes/10:25 I feel dirty for being included in my coworker's will https://www.reddit.

Hi, welcome to Smosh Reads Reddit Stories. I'm Shayne, and today's theme is advice. That's right. And I'm joined by two people who you should definitely take advice from, Ian and Damien.

**Ian Hecox** (0:11)
Thanks, Shayne.

**Damien Haas** (0:13)
Yeah, I don't think I've ever led anyone astray with my advice ever.

**Ian Hecox** (0:18)
Yeah.

**Damien Haas** (0:19)
I think I've always given very fair, level-headed, and serious advice.

**Shayne Topp** (0:25)
Yeah.

**Damien Haas** (0:26)
And that's why I was brought on. For this episode, every bit of advice I'm going to say is completely in earnest.

**Shayne Topp** (0:33)
Okay.

**Damien Haas** (0:33)
And I 100 percent back.

**Shayne Topp** (0:35)
Okay.

**Ian Hecox** (0:36)
Take whatever stance you don't and then we'll get a fair and sort of balanced system.

**Damien Haas** (0:40)
That's probably a good idea, Damien.

**Ian Hecox** (0:42)
You know what? I do actually, as a friend, I do really like your advice that you give because sometimes it's dead on, sometimes I don't agree with it 100 percent, but it's always coming from a really good and well thought out place.
So no matter what, it's always like, oh, okay, I hadn't thought about it like that. It helps me get to where I need to be. So yeah.

**Shayne Topp** (1:04)
He hit you with that genuine shit right off the bat.

**Damien Haas** (1:06)
I was waiting for the-

**Shayne Topp** (1:08)
How does that feel?

**Damien Haas** (1:08)
I was waiting for the- The joke? The uppercut to come.

**Ian Hecox** (1:13)
There's no uppercut today. Help me later.

**Shayne Topp** (1:15)
He's letting that sit back.

**Damien Haas** (1:16)
Well, thank you, Damien.

**Ian Hecox** (1:18)
No worries. Appreciate you. Yeah.
Look, I was a camp counselor for a very brief period of time, and no one ever really came to me for advice. But I'd like to think if they did, I'd be able to offer them some wisdom that sticks with them to this day.

**Shayne Topp** (1:34)
Today, we're going to be covering some subreddits we really haven't touched on much. There's a bunch of advice subreddits. Nice. So we're going to be hearing a lot of people's situations.
A lot of them are asking for advice. A lot of the advice is given in the comments. That might be very illuminating for all of us. But I think there's a lot of fun conversation topics that are going to come about from all of these things. Perfect. Great. All right.
Load it up. All right. Here we go.

**Ian Hecox** (2:01)
Here we go. This is always going to be like, have you tried shooting it?

**Shayne Topp** (2:06)
Kill it.

**Ian Hecox** (2:06)
Kill it with a gun. Here we go.

**Shayne Topp** (2:08)
Our first post. This was posted back in February of 2020
They said, we're doing a podcast with a friend and he's telling the entire Dragon Ball timeline. We've been here for 50 minutes and it doesn't stop. How can we politely tell him that he's been talking for way too long?

**Damien Haas** (2:24)
Wait, so he's like literally typing as the guy is talking about it?

**Shayne Topp** (2:27)
It's a very short post. Yeah. So he's typing this. He typed this out while they're doing the podcast.

**Ian Hecox** (2:32)
The other guys in the zone, not even paying attention to the fact that they're on the phone.

**Shayne Topp** (2:36)
Just locked in on Dragon Ball.

**Damien Haas** (2:38)
Fifty minutes doesn't sound like that long.

**Shayne Topp** (2:39)
Well, he's probably not finished with Dragon Ball yet.

**Damien Haas** (2:41)
Right.

**Shayne Topp** (2:42)
He hasn't gotten to Dragon Ball Z.

**Damien Haas** (2:43)
Z.

**Ian Hecox** (2:44)
And then there's GT, which is like a different timeline.

**Shayne Topp** (2:47)
And then it's Super, right?

**Ian Hecox** (2:48)
Dragon Ball Super. There's all the movies. There's like the Broly movie.

**Shayne Topp** (2:52)
Well, I hope he covers that.

**Ian Hecox** (2:54)
Yeah, he's got to do that.

**Shayne Topp** (2:54)
He's got to cover that.

**Ian Hecox** (2:55)
And if he wants to really get into it, he's got to do Dr. Slump, which is what Akira Toriyama made before Dragon Ball.

**Shayne Topp** (3:02)
I've never heard of this.

**Ian Hecox** (3:03)
Yeah, it's about a little robot girl named Aurel and there's a lot of poop humor. It's more like childish.

**Shayne Topp** (3:09)
Oh, okay.

**Ian Hecox** (3:09)
See, it sounds like you could use 50 minutes.

**Shayne Topp** (3:11)
It sounds like I need that.

**Damien Haas** (3:12)
Dang, okay.

**Shayne Topp** (3:14)
So they write, when we tell him that he is taking up all the conversation, he just laughs and says it's content. We're kind of trapped here and cannot say anything. How do we break it to him? This is no joke. This is serious. Mods, if this is too trivial for the sub, just delete this post. I'll understand. No problem. Okay, so they're in a real sticky situation where they're filming a podcast. They're trying to get him to stop, but he continues going, we don't know what podcast this is. Because if it's an anime podcast, I'm like, hey man, par for the course.
