Taco Tales, Hayride Horrors & The Great Lettuce Lawsuit

The Rizzuto Show | Daily Comedy Podcast

October 6, 2026

It’s fall in St. Louis, the Halloween decorations are getting aggressively competitive, tacos are apparently important enough to deserve their own national holiday, and The Rizzuto Show is once again asking the important question: how did any of us survive childhood?

Speakers Scott Rizzuto, Rafe, Moon, Lern, Tim

The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely on advertisements.

Scott Rizzuto (0:30)

If you know Dobbs Tire and Auto Centers, you love them. They have been fixing everything St. Louis drives for 50 years. They guarantee the lowest tire prices in town and have a drive away tire package that includes free balancing, rotation, and flat repair on their tires. It's incredible. And here's one more reason you don't want anybody but Dobbs handling your vehicle. Right now, when you buy any three Cooper tires at Dobbs, you get one free.

You drive out with a whole set of brand new Cooper tires, but you only pay for three. At your next stop, take a look. Take a look at the tires. Looking a little worn? Tread-looking a little on the thin side? Listen, it happens, but it doesn't have to stay that way. Head to Dobbs, buy any three Cooper tires and get one free. Don't let this offer pass you by. Stop in and get safer, newer, better tires for less while supplies last. Visit gotodobbs.com. That's gotodobbs.com. Find a location near you or see an associate for details, gotodobbs.com.

Rafe (1:33)

Yay!

Scott Rizzuto (1:35)

All right, guys. God, it's Tuesday.

Who's ready?

Moon (1:40)

I'm ready for Tuesday.

Scott Rizzuto (1:41)

Change your hat, Rafe.

Lern (1:42)

Sorry.

Scott Rizzuto (1:43)

What are you thinking?

Lern (1:44)

What are you thinking?

Scott Rizzuto (1:45)

Change your hat. You're right.

We've got a fundraiser going on for Cardinal Glennon. How dare you.

Rafe (1:54)

Sorry, man.

Scott Rizzuto (1:54)

As he takes his bangers-only hat off. No more bangers.

Rafe (1:57)

Trimmers only.

Scott Rizzuto (1:59)

And on with the... Trimmers only. Trim light. Trim light hat.

Rafe (2:04)

Trim light.

Scott Rizzuto (2:05)

God, yesterday was so nice. Who went outside yesterday, took a walk? Anybody? I did.

You took a walk, got the baby outside? Yeah. Nice. Baby.

Tim (2:15)

Her first walk around the neighborhood.

Scott Rizzuto (2:17)

Oh, yeah.

Rafe (2:17)

I met her yesterday.

Scott Rizzuto (2:19)

Three weeks old now?

Tim (2:21)

No, four.

Scott Rizzuto (2:21)

Four weeks, a month, huh? A month?

Lern (2:23)

Well, it goes by fast, doesn't it?

Tim (2:25)

Yeah.

Scott Rizzuto (2:26)

Yeah, you know it's fall when you go up the garage and the wife goes, oh, do I need a jacket or not? Do I need a jacket? I'm gonna be walking a while.

Lern (2:36)

Do you and Meele's dress entirely differently when you're going out?

Scott Rizzuto (2:39)

Yeah, I had shorts and a t-shirt. And she was in a parka with hat and gloves.

Lern (2:45)

This is the way.

Scott Rizzuto (2:47)

Hat and gloves. She had one of those vests that heat up, you know, the ones you plug in. Uh-huh.

Lern (2:55)

What? It's tight.

Moon (2:57)

It heats up.

Scott Rizzuto (2:58)

Oh, yeah. For one Christmas, I got her one of those vests that you press like a little button on it and it heats up.

Lern (3:04)

And it's got a heater, like an electric blanket. Hunters use them all the time. Oh, yeah. I know.

Scott Rizzuto (3:07)

We spend a lot of time at hockey rinks.

Moon (3:09)

Oh, this makes sense.

Scott Rizzuto (3:11)

So, what's...

Lern (3:12)

Fair wise. What a great gift to give to you. I know.

Moon (3:15)

You're the best.

Scott Rizzuto (3:16)

Oh, it's today Amazon Prime Day?

Lern (3:18)

Yes.

Moon (3:18)

Is it really? Isn't this just happy?

Scott Rizzuto (3:20)

Get on there.

Lern (3:20)

Yeah.

Scott Rizzuto (3:22)

Get on there. Go buy some stuff. Buy your wife a heated vest. She'll love it.

Lern (3:26)

She will.

Scott Rizzuto (3:28)

She'll love it. But listen, it's fall activities time. Oktoberfest. Well, I mean, you know, what are our favorite things to do in the fall?

Lern (3:37)

Apple picking, pumpkin patch, drinking cider from the kitchen stove.

Scott Rizzuto (3:42)

Watching scary movies.

Tim (3:44)

Wearing lederhosen.

Lern (3:45)

Yes.

Scott Rizzuto (3:46)

My neighborhood has gone all out this Halloween. I think more than ours, too. Halloween's have passed.

Moon (3:51)

Ours, too. There's like four houses that I don't even know if they decorated at all ever before. And now they are full blown competitors.

Scott Rizzuto (3:58)

Full blown. Is there something going on this year?

Lern (4:01)

I will say this. I put mine out. And it is my favorite year of decor so far that I've done. So maybe there is something in the air.

Scott Rizzuto (4:06)

Take a walk around your neighborhood today and look.

Moon (4:09)

I think we've had a rough year. And I think everybody is using the opportunity to just get their mind off of it and throw up some celebration a little bit. You know what I mean?
