Week one's over, and we are Going Deep. Brandon Angelo, Matt Waldman, we're coming at you with some talk about Drake Maye, Justin Herbert, little comparisons, and more comparisons maybe. And then, who surprised us?

Brandon Angelo (0:16)

I don't know if it's a good thing.

Matt Waldman (0:17)

Right?

Giants offense, Colts offense, Patriots offense. Maybe we'll go into some offenses that actually look good, like the Giants. They were pretty good, so we'll definitely talk about that. So, you know, welcome aboard. And it's always great to have Brandon joining us. You know, you can find his work at Angelo's Analysis. Definitely check out what he does there. Brandon, tell people a little bit more about what they can find at your site.

Brandon Angelo (0:45)

I appreciate it. You have basically a lot of the nerdy stuff that we talk about is in font and form and video and all that. And I'm a big fantasy player like you are and just walking through and blending the two worlds of how we see the game, evaluate the game, but also how we play the game in terms of fantasy and just pull all that stuff in script and on the site. But that's a lot of it and draft guides, all that. I'm obviously big into rookies like you are too. So talk about that, the upcoming class that's coming up here. It's going to be like the first quarter of the college season and get to get a pretty good idea here of who's going to be drafted where, at least in a decent sense, especially the first round, like what we're looking at quarterback wise, etc. But try to dive into that and give updates on how our rookies are doing in the NFL. Some of the guys that we've seen in week one and we'll talk about too.

But yeah, I mean, love doing it's been, gosh man, you're six, so got a lot of great feedback on it. So I just keep it rolling.

Matt Waldman (1:50)

Yeah, I know it's fantastic work and you guys definitely should check it out.

So yeah, listen, let's get started. We're, you know, let's let's talk first about who surprised us, who surprised us, good or bad. Who's somebody that just came to mind right away for you?

Brandon Angelo (2:10)

Antonio Williams, I would say he was the biggest one. I didn't expect him to play as much as he did. He didn't play a ton of snap, but he was by far the most productive Washington receiver.

Matt Waldman (2:21)

Yeah.

Brandon Angelo (2:22)

And that offense isn't not going to be very good. I think the offensive line is poor. I think Daniels isn't going to get hit too much. But Antonio Williams is the lone bright spot for me. I thought he was awesome. I thought he can, you know, he displayed a lot of things that you like at Clemson, right? His ability to get in and out of breaks, went quick, went at top of route.

There's just not a lot of youthful exuberance going around on the receiver side in Washington. There's just not. And I think McLaurin is a good third level guy. I think Diggs brings a veteran presence, but is limited at this stage in his career.

But yeah, I think Antonio Williams, he played about as good as you can play with the snaps he got. And I think if they want to be competitive in that division in the NFC, he's going to need to play a whole heck of a lot more, because they're just not good enough to push the ball down the field vertically. So they're going to need to find more creative ways to get him and Diggs working intermediately and stressing defenses in a cross-field fashion essentially. So that's going to be a fascinating thing to look at. But I thought he was fantastic. I loved watching him. And I'd say the other guy who really impressed me was Braylon Allen. It was kind of one statistically you look at it was just okay, it was a solid game. But I went back and watched that game. I have, you know, nfl.com. If you have that, some people do, some people don't.

Crappy product, I'm not going to lie. But the condensed game feature is awesome. You can watch games in 20 minutes, 25 minutes. So the games I miss on Sunday, I can watch. So that was one of the games I watched last night. And I was pleasantly surprised. He played better ball than I thought Breeze Hall did. Wow. And Breeze Hall had what, 22 for 102, I think, in a score. So he played well his first game, these Titans. But I thought Braylon Allen ran great.
