On the evening of July 25th, during Berlin's Christopher Street Day, this is their pride event that they host, 21-year-old German citizen Abdul Balut, sounds like a German citizen, but he's a Lebanese Muslim and known to authorities with Lebanese roots, drove a white van into a crowd, then attacked people with a bladed weapon, possibly a machete. One person was killed and approximately 29 injured. He had prior convictions, a 2025 trip to Lebanon linked to Islamic State, and a recent suspended sentence related to preparing violence. What a weird thing. You're preparing a violence. After a manhunt, he was located and shot dead by police. German officials, including Interior Minister, described it as an Islamic terror attack. Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Berlin's official strongly condemned it as an assault on a free, tolerant society. Vinnie, thoughts?
**Vinnie** (1:20)
Well, thoughts are prayers and everything for the people that were involved. Pat, but before, so this guy had a criminal record for extortion, assault, extremist-related offenses. In May 26, he was convicted under Section 89A of the German Criminal Code for preparing a terrorist attack. And he was also convicted for activity connected to a banned extremist organization.
**Patrick Bet-David** (1:41)
And they let him go.
**Vinnie** (1:43)
You know why? Because he's young, Pat. He was a youth. Are you ready? This is going to piss you off more than anything. Despite now being adult, he was sentenced under, he wasn't adult, but he was sentenced under Germany's juvenile justice system and received a one-year and ten-month suspended sentence. And he was released on probation. Are you ready for this? Investigators said he became radicalized by Islamic ideology and reported, boasted about having contact with ISIS.
His case came under US State Department warned in 2024 that ISIS and ISIS-inspired extremists could target LGBTQ events across Europe. Are you ready for this? As part of his release, he was ordered to attend 26 de-radicalization counseling sessions. Think about that, 26 sessions to make you not a terrorist, Tom. And guess what? He only went to two. He attended two before the attack. Counselors reportedly believe that his responses appeared calculated and insecure, raised doubts about he was being genuinely abandoning all these beliefs. So think about this, guys.
You have a... You're basically saying you're a terrorist, and they send you to a de-terrorist, a take-the-terrorism-out-of-me camp, and they go in there and they're like, Nah, we don't believe it's happening. His third session was scheduled for the following week, but before it could happen, they say he carried out the attack. Now, this raised serious questions, Pat. Why someone, guys, they, by the, RFBI used to do this a lot. They have somebody that's being a terrorist and act like a terrorist, but they release them into the community because they're like, they're going to fix this guy, okay? And you know what doesn't surprise me? Because guess where this happened? This happened in Germany. You guys remember the Hamburg rape case, where the 15-year-old girl was brutally raped by 11 migrants?
All of, Pat, everybody but only one guy served the prison sentence. One, under Germany's juvenile system.
**SPEAKER_4** (3:32)
But then she...
**Vinnie** (3:33)
Then the girl, a girl, went on WhatsApp and started talking crap to one of them. She went to jail.
She went to jail under Germany's defamation thing. So now, we're looking at another case where somebody's preparing, already on file, they already know who he is, preparing a terrorist attack. They put him in counseling, and then he does this. And this is again, we keep pointing out the UK, we keep pointing out the UK, and people are saying, no, we're crazy, these are isolated incidents, and that we're racist.
No, it's happening. It's happening in everybody's face. And I don't know if you saw what happened in Paris a couple of hours ago. The guy said, Allah ordered me. This is happening all the time, and they're covering it up.
**Patrick Bet-David** (4:10)
That's the guy that's running, where the guys record him, he stabbed three people.
**Vinnie** (4:13)
Yeah, Humberto has the link that I just sent. They grabbed him, they put him on the ground. He stabbed like three girls. And on the ground, Humberto, could you show the one that where he's on the ground? What is this one? No, the one that he's on the ground. I just, look at this, listen to what he's saying. This isn't fair.
