Welcome to The Niche Is You. My name is Matt Gottesman, at Matt Gottesman on Instagram, and this is my daily podcast where I create short, quick hitting episodes to help you uncomplicate life, creativity, and the pursuit of your highest self. There's only main character energy here. Now let's get into it.

Welcome to episode 895, and this is the relaunch of stop praying for a person and start preparing for a partnership. I get it. I get it. We often, you know, you might be wanting to pray for your person, pray for that relationship, that, you know, that one that God has ordained for you, that you know is right for you. What if in the waiting, it was about your own internal preparation, right? Not external pursuit, internal preparation. And how are you becoming what aligns with that? So that therefore two individuals walk right into the relationship ordained by them. I know I had to put a past podcast episode on relationships. So is the relaunch of stop praying for a person, start preparing for a partnership. Enjoy.

Welcome to episode 586 Stop praying for a person, start preparing for a partnership. Stop praying for a person, start preparing for a partnership. This is going to be another gut check for all of us. It's always a gut check.

It's very easy to know what you want. It's a different story to be what you want.

And the gap between those two things is our responsibility. It's our stewardship. It's our devotion to being the things that we feel we're wanting to attract in our life. Sometimes we feel like they're missing until we realize it's the relationship we have with ourself and cultivating those very things within us. How else would you recognize them in another? How else would you reciprocate them to another? So instead of us always praying for a person, maybe, just maybe, the real blueprint is to prepare for it, right? So in this episode, I want to talk about why alignment starts with the internal preparation, not the external pursuit.

It's funny, and I'll tell you about some of the other things I want to talk about in this episode, too, but it's funny when you think about it, even though on here we talk about relationships, we talk about health, we talk about creativity, entrepreneurship, we talk about all the things. And you always hear me talk about the external versus the internal, because chasing isn't always just also what we want in relationships, it's also what we want with the business, the outcomes with the business, the outcomes with the job, the outcomes with our health, we're always chasing, you know, life, society's always chasing this external. And it's funny how that can also relate to relationships. Of course, it's a natural human phenomenon to do that because you know it's something you want. Have you ever thought about why you wanted it? And then the next question would be, have you ever thought about why you haven't cultivated or worked on cultivating it more within yourself?

Which leads me to the second thing I want to talk about on this podcast, which is how to become the partner you're praying to attract. Don't worry, we're all doing the work. You're not alone in this. The third thing is the role of spiritual maturity in divine union, which we spoke about recently, right? I did a podcast recently about divine union partnership, a couple of them. Go check those out. And then also why God's timing often waits on our readiness.

This is so much deeper than just talking about relationships, because you can have... I heard this a long time ago about... There are some relationships that are really good. They could be very good relationships.

Are they the relationship for you? You know, that's a different story, meaning like one that you can feel like was assignment from God. And, you know, and so it's something to think about in terms of operating from a very high level of faith and stewardship and being so deeply rooted in knowing who you are and then, you know, playing from there. So let's jump into it. You know, everybody wants the relationship, and it makes sense. We're built for teamwork. We're built for partnership, for union. We're built for, you know, being mirrors for each other. We're built to have, you know, help, and we're built to have good people around us, right? I mean, it makes sense. I don't feel like God was just like, oh, here you go. And by the way, go at it completely alone. But I have noticed the correlation between my relationship with God and how that corresponds to a relationship in the physical because in the physical world, right? It's like, oh, I have to have this. I have to be able to sit with myself. I have to be in reflection. I have to be in embodiment. I have to actually keep improving on myself. I have to be in my values. I have to keep practicing all these things. I have to be able to feel God energetically, you know, and have faith and trust and surrender and all these things. It's like, oh yeah, that makes sense. You'd have to probably do the same things, you know, within partnership, right? So everyone wants a relationship, are you ready for the responsibility that comes with it? We pray for connection, but sometimes we skip the preparation. We ask God for someone who brings peace, purpose, and alignment, but are we living from that same frequency?
