16 years and four months to be exact, it's hard to believe looking at her, but that's how long she was locked away, here in a California state prison.

What's more, it was for a robbery murder, Gloria says she didn't commit.

Arrested career criminal Gary Massey and charged him with the Davies murder. How did you find out about the crime?

I saw it on television, and that's really all that I remember about it.

**Susan Spencer** (3:47)
Divorced and in her mid-thirties, Gloria had almost finished law school, but decided to take time off to enjoy life.

I loved to go to clubs.

I loved to party. I loved to dance.
So I went out a lot. Went out a lot.

Was this a wild time for you?

I knew some people I should not have known.

**Susan Spencer** (4:11)
And one of those people was a friend of Gary Massey, the man arrested for the Davies murder. Gloria says she never knew Massey, but when the anonymous tip mentioned her name and his together, she was arrested.
