Wayfair makes it easy with everything from dining furniture to festive guest room essentials all in one place. So whether you're hosting for an afternoon or all weekend, everyone feels right at home. Get holiday guests ready at wayfair.com or on the Wayfair app today.

Romesh Ranganathan (1:00)

Have you seen the clips of this Barney, this, what's it called?

It's basically a horror film, but it's like this, you know Barney the dinosaur? So it's like an orange dinosaur called Buddy. And basically eventually sort of gradually kills all the kids.

Stacey Dooley (1:15)

It's insane. Who's the target demographic? Who's watching that?

Romesh Ranganathan (1:19)

Some sick fucks. I mean, I honestly don't know. It's so wild. I was just thinking, I thought exactly that. Who is this for?

SPEAKER_5 (1:27)

Well, my like, the media brain goes, it's people who grew up with Barney, but who are now horror fans.

SPEAKER_2 (1:35)

So you've got a bit of nostalgia.

SPEAKER_5 (1:38)

I guess you've got like a bit of like childhood nostalgia, plus it's like the perfect, like mix of things for horror film.

Stacey Dooley (1:43)

You've got childhood nostalgia plus this big scary idea.

Shanthi (1:47)

Yeah.

Romesh Ranganathan (1:49)

So could we get like a Nightmare on Sesame Street?

Stacey Dooley (1:52)

Yeah. Nightmare on Sesame Street.

Romesh Ranganathan (1:54)

Oscar the Grouch pops out of the bin and fucking smashes the show.

Shanthi (1:57)

Ta-da.

Romesh Ranganathan (1:58)

Or drags you down into the bin. Then you just hear some knocking noises and then eventually the kid stops talking.

Stacey Dooley (2:05)

Great.

Romesh Ranganathan (2:06)

I mean, Big Bird in a row.

Stacey Dooley (2:08)

A lot.

Romesh Ranganathan (2:09)

I reckon he could handle himself.

Stacey Dooley (2:10)

Feathers everywhere. Yeah. Chaos.

I am Stacey Dooley and I'm very happy to say that I am on The Romesh Ranganathan Show.

Shanthi (2:28)

Oh, shut up, Romesh.

Romesh Ranganathan (2:31)

Okay. I'm going to do your intro now.

Stacey Dooley (2:33)

Yes. Okay.

Romesh Ranganathan (2:34)

If you don't like it, I always say this. If you don't like it. No, not tough. Oh. You can add stuff.

Stacey Dooley (2:39)

No. You're in. Yeah.

Romesh Ranganathan (2:40)

Okay. Good luck.

Stacey Dooley (2:43)

Not good luck.

Romesh Ranganathan (2:44)

Good luck to me.

My guest today is an internationally acclaimed. That is true. Gryerson Trusty's award-winning documentary maker and bestselling author, first regular smoker, first appeared as a contributor on the BBC Three documentary Blood, Sweat and T-shirts in 2008 and has gone on to make over 100 documentaries on subjects ranging from sexual abuse and human trafficking to suicide bombers and drug cartels. She's navigated intense and challenging situations across the globe, from war zones to the Strictly Ballroom with boldness and empathy. Her new series Clickbait Clinic is out now and she's got three powerful BBC Three documentaries investigating difficult issues in the UK, including Ketamine addiction and military deaths coming out later this year. It is the one, the only, Stacey Dooley, everybody.

SPEAKER_1 (3:36)

That was great.

Stacey Dooley (3:38)

And you know what? It's always lovely to be called Stacey Dooley because often this literally happens. Yesterday, they go, Stacey, Solomon, who we love, who we love, but I get that a hell of a lot.

Romesh Ranganathan (3:50)

You know what I get a lot?

Stacey Dooley (3:51)

Go on.

Romesh Ranganathan (3:52)

Overexposed.

Stacey Dooley (3:54)

I don't feel like that. I get that so much. But I am gobsmacked you're not presented strictly.

SPEAKER_1 (3:58)

I did just assume it would be you.

Stacey Dooley (4:01)

And I thought what they'll do is they'll strip away the dancing because that's not important and it will just be The Romesh Show.

Romesh Ranganathan (4:08)

Look, I pitched it.

Stacey Dooley (4:09)

They didn't go for it.

Romesh Ranganathan (4:10)

They said, they described, what were the words they came back with? Car crash.

Stacey Dooley (4:15)

Absolutely not. Yeah. But it is lovely to see you.

Romesh Ranganathan (4:17)

It's lovely to see you. Thanks for coming on. You're a proper documentary maker.
