Welcome to Part of My Take, presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. Today is Wednesday, June 10th. And boys, we've got an NBA Finals. It is 2-1, New York Knicks, the San Antonio Spurs go into MSG, win Game 3
We at least have some game pressure. We have some finals that we can get excited about again, because if the Knicks had won Game 3, it would have been a sweep, most likely. But now, the Spurs answer, and we got game on.

Yeah, it was another good game. All the games have been awesome in this series so far. Even Game 1, I know that the final score wasn't exactly super close, but yeah, the Spurs did what they had to do. Wemby, I thought that the defense that they played was interesting, and they kind of let Hart shoot the ball a lot. Not that he was making him pay, but it was very much a concerted effort to have Wemby ready to come through the paint and swat anything that's coming nearby. And yeah, it was a great game by Castle.
Fox looked good at times too last night when it mattered a lot. So yeah, I'm excited. The atmosphere in the Garden, I do think it got to the point where they priced out the real fans.

I don't like the prices at the Garden. Even when we lived in New York, when the Knicks weren't that good, they were crazy expensive to go to games. Not like this, but still expensive.

Why do you, by the way, PFT, to your point, game one, one point game with two minutes left, game two, tie game with 10 seconds left, game three, three point game with 30 seconds left. What makes you say that they priced out the real fans?

That I think the lowest ticket price was like $8,000.

No, but I'm saying from watching, was it a vibe you got?

Because I think there's also a vibe, and memes, you can maybe attest to this. I think there is a, especially in the first quarter, because the first quarter, it was like, the crowd was so jacked up, and then the spurs come out really hot. I do think that the weight of how many years it's been since the Knicks have won a title, it is a little bit in the fan's head, where you've seen this before, where it's like the Cubs or the Red Sox, or like the Bills, where you have a moment, and then when things go bad, everyone's like, oh, fuck. And it got a little silent. Then the second quarter, I thought that was the series. I thought the second quarter, the way the Knicks played in the second quarter, I was like, all right, that's it. They bounced back from a not great first quarter. They were down nine or 11 after the first quarter. And then the spurs just, they got to the free throw line, which we can talk about the refs.
