I'm trying to think, in the other Spider-Verses, other than all the myriad Spider characters, was there any other cameos from other Marvel, like non-Spider people? I can't really recall.

Like not villains, right? Like not like a specific villain or anything, like just like another hero. Is that kind of the idea?

Yeah, like Steve Rogers never pops in there, right? I can't think of a single one.

Kirkland (0:45)

I feel like there might be like certain imagery, like maybe there's like a shield or something, not necessarily cap shield, but like Captain America shield at some point. I feel like that has to have happened, but it's also like a Sony project, like an MCU project. So like, I don't think so.

I don't think so. Yeah.

I think for my personal interest in this, like I guess it could be fun, but at the end of the day, like it is stating that it's like a cameo, so it's not like it'd be a meaty thing. Now, talking to me about like being like a co-starring role, maybe then I could get excited or not excited, but it's hard for me to feel one way or the other, about like potentially a cameo.

And I didn't really like the second one that much, so I don't know if I'm like, I'm not even like super stoked about this third round. I'll go see it, of course. Likelihood though, I feel like, yeah, sure, why not? I don't see why there's any reason why not. It seems like a good place for a kind of wacky Deadpool variant, Spider-Gwen variant. It seems like a cool, smart, interesting, fun place to do this kind of thing. So I'll go 50-50 for the BS meter of it all.

I was just doing a little Google on Gwenpool and the first thing I saw was Gwenpool is not a version or variant of Deadpool. Apparently, her last name is just Pool, and that is why she's called that.

But she kind of is like a fourth Wall-E and stuff, right?

Yeah. Like her character origin, she's like a regular person that's transported to the Marvel Universe, so it feels like a Deadpool character, because he talks to the reader, I think, multiple times.

Dylan (2:19)

But it is Gwen Stacy, right? Yeah.

Well, Gwenpool is her name, Gwendolyn Pool.

Oh, maybe she's like, those are her favorite characters, so she's not going to be a hybrid of these two characters.

Maybe, yeah. I don't know. Maybe I should have done a little. Maybe I'm completely wrong too, and this little article I'm reading is-

Not a popular character to me.

I mean, I thought it was a Gwen Stacy Deadpool variant, so if that's not the case, I feel like I'm even less interested in just the idea of a random person going to the Marvel Universe. Her name's Gwyneth Pool, and she just happens to look like Gwen, like, well, I guess, Ghost Spider, if you want to call her that. That name, like we have Gwyn Stacy, right? Like in Spider-Verse already, she's an integral character, so I don't really need a variant of that. Maybe Quick Cameo, you know, as the title suggests for this BS Meter topic. That might be funny if she finds Gwyn Pool, and there's two of them or something, like just doing the old Spider-Man thing or whatnot. I feel like you could get like a comedic something out of that, but I don't need her in the crew, so I think a Quick Cameo, I don't really need or like oppose that. I'm just incredibly neutral on that subject. And in terms of it actually being in there, I think it could go either way, but I'll side on the more thumbs down. So I'll go 44% of it happening. It's still kind of close to 50, but yeah, a little bit lower on that one. I don't know, it just seems...

Thank you. I'm trying to be more scientific now that I'm in my 30s, to really try and analyze things before I say them.

But yeah, do we need a character like this? No, but do they maybe want to just introduce another Deadpool fourth wall breaking character that could just be wacky and new, but is also maybe more on the Spiderverse side, we don't really have to disturb Deadpool, we can have our own kind of version of that, who knows?
