Good morning, everybody.

How are you doing today?

I'm looking forward to it. I got my exercise in this morning. I'm ready to learn.

**Ron Arenas** (0:19)
Good, good. I got a little bit of exercise too, but we had a little run-in with someone on the loop this morning, so we cut our ride-in short. Oh, man.

**Dr. Joe Utash** (0:30)
Was it a bike crash?

**Ron Arenas** (0:31)
No, no, it was an undesirable person on the loop. Yes.

**Dr. Joe Utash** (0:36)
We got to be careful, especially on certain areas of the loop.

**Ron Arenas** (0:39)
It is up here on the northwest side. So yeah, like in between you and me.

**Dr. Joe Utash** (0:44)
Wow.

Yeah. Yeah.

I've seen that along the bus stop where I would not want. It used to be our offices right along the loop. In fact, why we bought it is we wanted to be right there on the loop, take the kids in the stroller walks. I mean, it was part of our lifestyle.

**Ron Arenas** (0:59)
Yeah.

**Dr. Joe Utash** (0:59)
And over the last few years, unfortunately, I have seen there's been ups and downs, but some areas and some stretches that I would not want to take my stroller down any longer.

**Ron Arenas** (1:08)
You got it. Yep. That's unfortunate. And we have a guest today. His name is Rodney Cox. He owns GameTime Recruiting and Consulting. And he will be calling in here in just a moment if he's not already in.
But he is a recruiter that helps high school athletes with the recruiting process to get them to the next level.

And I was looking into this and I'm actually pretty excited. So I have a couple of kiddos, as you do Ron, that are in sports and mine are a bit younger. But I kind of, you know, as the father of almost 13 year old and an eight year old or almost nine year old, I want to see like, what are some things that we can do to prep these guys, to maybe get some scholarships, maybe, you know, maybe save some money in the future and, you know, what was the path? What are the paths? What are some things that we should be doing at an early stage to kind of, you know, give our kids the best chances and opportunities, but then also, you know, as parents, maybe save a little dollar.

**Ron Arenas** (2:04)
Oh yeah, of course. And there is options out there, you know, there's not all of them are D1 schools, you know. I mean, there's other options out there too. He helped us with our youngest son.
We hired him. We hired his services.

**Dr. Joe Utash** (2:18)
Okay.

Went to some different schools.

**Dr. Joe Utash** (2:21)
Okay.

**Ron Arenas** (2:21)
Looked at them.

**Dr. Joe Utash** (2:22)
So I know now my cousin's kids are much older than mine, and one's already been picked up by Texas Longhorns for baseball. And so I'm not sure the process. I know that he is on some different travel teams, and there's certain clinics that he has to go to where there's more recruiters there from different and more scouts from different colleges where he plays. But he's a junior, I believe, this year. He could be senior this year. And he's already signed the deal.
From what I understand, it's a thing as long as he doesn't hurt himself.

**Ron Arenas** (2:55)
Oh, good. That's real good. We had some smaller D2 schools that were really after Luke.
Unfortunately, they were way on the other side of the country. Of the country, yeah. They were like Minnesota, Nebraska, not the University of Minnesota, but smaller colleges and university, Nebraska, South Dakota.

**Dr. Joe Utash** (3:16)
Yeah, it would be a culture and temperature shock, I believe, to your kids.

**Ron Arenas** (3:20)
Yes, yeah. The one in Nebraska, the guy said, you don't even need to bring a car because the town is so small, you're just going to walk everywhere.

**Dr. Joe Utash** (3:32)
Believe it or not, that was my first two years college experience as well. I never had a car. There's a couple of people that did have cars, but the parking lot was a half a mile or so, and so we hardly ever used a car. The town was so small in Alma, Michigan that you just walked everywhere. You could walk to the pizza place, walk to 7-Eleven, and then the whole campus. It was this little in the middle of nowhere, Alma, Michigan, and the college made up the population, that and the professors.
