What was happening this past week in the NFL in terms of decision-making at the end of games? We're gonna keep a couple of these games together today, Sean, to kind of talk through it a little bit from that perspective. But in the course of those games, there was a couple of truly highlight days for a number of different players. I wanna start off with the Giants and the Commanders in New York. This was a game, Sean, looking with the weather, how things could play out before it. There's concerns in terms of what can teams do through the air, how is this gonna play out? Will the conditions just keep the scoring down? Well, this one ended up 27-27 after Overtime, the first tie of the NFL season.
Lots to talk about when it gets to the end of the game, Sean. I think we'll talk first about the game itself and how people lucked and how the game played out. I thought the weather element of it was really playing into a factor for the Giants, and the first half in particular, they had three first half points, they went up 24 in the second half, and Jameis throws the ball 54 times, did struggle again in the first half as I mentioned, but towards the end, particularly in the fourth quarter, he felt like he was just going to complete everything. Three passing touchdowns, 326 passing yards. That leads to Malik Nabers with the 20 targets, 11 receptions, 121, and a touchdown. Isaiah Likley has two touchdowns, 11 receptions, 94 yards on 13 targets. They combined for the 33 targets, the rest of the team obviously getting the little sprinklings that would go along with it. Darnell Mooney did have seven targets for two receptions and 14 yards, nothing really coming of those seven targets to talk about. But Nabers and Likley and Nabers working his way back towards, let's say 100% or full health. There is sometimes when he's out there, you're wondering if he's still questioning how his body's going to react in certain situations. But that particular lit touchdown grab spectacular and this one, Likley, has a touchdown that's almost, it is punched out, but I think it does break the plane. Again, when we're watching these NFL games and there's so many cameras, there's so many angles, it's like, why is there no angle down the goal line to show us this one? It was a bit like the Seahawks game. Like, why is there no camera going down the sideline? But I do think again, I think the correct decision was reached there, but a lot of drama in the end zone before that was announced. On the other side, Jaylen Daniels, not a huge amount in the passing game, but did look good throwing the ball in certain key situations, which on the talking point of Daniels is the nine rushes for 103 yards and two touchdowns, giving him a huge fantasy day.
Again, we'll get to the end of the game. Should have ended up giving the team a win on the road as well. Krosky-Merritt had only 11 rush attempts but had 82 yards and a touchdown. He had a 33-yard rushing touchdown in this one. And you were mentioning at the end of the show on Tuesday, Lecon Treadwell and him getting opportunities after sticking around the league. I have to say, Trellon Borks only has two receptions this year, five targets. I'm loving Trellon Borks in recent weeks. He's only getting a couple of catches a game but one of my highlights every single week to see him out there. Antonio Williams, who I've kind of talked a little bit about, had just the three targets, three receptions for 31
Chega Konko had four for 60, four for 62 for Terry McLaurin on four targets. So kind of quiet overall day passing for the commanders. Very strong day for them rushing. What was your kind of overall view of the game here? Because it provided a lot of fantasy goodness.
