Hey buddy, what's cracking? What's going on there, youngster?

Man, thank you for calling me. I don't feel too young nowadays, but.

**Dan Nicholas** (0:57)
Well, you're looking pretty good from here, man. You're looking good and strong.

**Mike** (1:01)
Thank you. Likewise, likewise. And first of all, I just want to, the last few days, what's been going through my mind is how we met at the Billy Cox event in Dallas and how you were just, you were so nice and you came up to me and kind and just started kind of sharing a little bit of your testimony with me. And oftentimes when I go to these big events and I share something, I'm just not sure how it's going to come across. And it's always nice to meet somebody who has trudged the journey of happy destiny as well, who's been on the other side, who is living life today just incredibly. And you mentioned a little bit about your business.
I'm excited to be here with you today and share some time and find out about your event you have coming up, find out about who Dan is, how he was brought up, what got him to this place.

**Dan Nicholas** (1:49)
Well, all I got to say is kindred spirit seem to align properly. What do they say? For people like us, it's birds of a feather flock together. You know, so, and we have a lot of similarities in our life. We have the shaky ground that we've come from. We have the victories. We have our failures, and we've actually learned to welcome our failures. And we've learned that the world keeps spinning, and it's much rather to be part of a spinning world instead of being the downturn of it. So, I remember meeting you.
You have a very charismatic charisma about you. And I think, I don't know, man, God, I think just allowed us to sit next to each other and kind of just share some time together. So it was memorable.
That was my first Billy Cox show. I've been back to three or four things since then. And, but every time I go, I always think about you. So that there was a good time. I think we got another one coming up in a few months. So hopefully you and I will be able to connect there in person again. I'll be able to give you a big old man brotherly hug, and we'll see where this goes.

I'd love that. And shout out Billy, he does some great, he puts on some great events. It was definitely a memorable, memorable experience as well. And the food was fantastic, so.

**Dan Nicholas** (3:17)
Yeah, I've had worse food. You ought to eat my wife's cooking.
Hey, don't tell Cheryl I said that, else I will come hunt you down. You're in Arizona, right? And Arizona is not that far away. It's only, shoot, you know, I'd much rather go to Arizona than drive going east through Texas because it's about the same distance.

And I let the audience know kind of ahead of time on my stories. You're from Midland, Odessa. Is that correct? I hope I'm correct.

**Dan Nicholas** (3:43)
Yes, sir.

**Mike** (3:44)
Okay.

**Dan Nicholas** (3:44)
Yeah, I'm actually from El Paso. Then when I was going through those testing years, I came here when I was right about 21

**Mike** (3:56)
Okay.

**Dan Nicholas** (3:57)
Just kind of just out of doom and gloom. I begrudgingly came, but it was kind of my last ditch effort to be alive. You know, so kind of running away, and I developed a life of running away from lots of things, as you and I've shared in both our lives, where we don't have any courage today. And I didn't know which direction you wanted to go today.
