Welcome to the campaign after the campaign. This is Not Another D&D Podcast.
Jake Hurwitz (1:21)
Welcome back to Skaldova, everybody. Oh, no.
Brian Murphy (1:28)
Oh, my God.
Jake Hurwitz (1:30)
Do something.
SPEAKER_2 (1:31)
I swallowed 12 fireflies.
Caldwell Tanner (1:33)
It's just so poetic here.
Jake Hurwitz (1:35)
I'm your Dungeon Master, Jake Hurwitz, here with Brian Murphy.
Brian Murphy (1:38)
Refusing tonight, Decky, because he isn't ready, Zudrick of the Murder.
Jake Hurwitz (1:43)
Emily Axford.
Emily Axford (1:45)
From Order of the Oaken Row to Order of the Compass and Crow, it's Welly Hamdam.
Jake Hurwitz (1:51)
There you go.
Emily Axford (1:53)
Okay, technically, it's Order of the Oaken Oar. I just want everyone to know that. That you know that. But I took some license for a rhyme.
Jake Hurwitz (2:01)
She didn't forget her own lore.
Emily Axford (2:02)
Don't revoke my license.
Jake Hurwitz (2:03)
That's poetic license. Let's see if you survive the Firefly's Caldwell Tanner.
Caldwell Tanner (2:08)
Oh, rub-a-dub-dub, making liquor in a tub. There's peaches within reach, so grab a cup, Bob. It's Boggy Roger.
Emily Axford (2:16)
Oh yeah.
Jake Hurwitz (2:17)
He's living, he's thriving.
Emily Axford (2:19)
Peaches within reaches. I need to use the corner.
Caldwell Tanner (2:23)
For that, really.
Jake Hurwitz (2:25)
Before you drink those, how about a little recap?
Caldwell Tanner (2:27)
Let's do it.
Jake Hurwitz (2:28)
Last time, our three light-hearted lords explored their brand new castle and immediately got to work on some home improvement projects. You cleaned up the corpses with varying degrees of respect for the dead, constructed a terrarium for your pet frog complete with a working toilet, and each claimed the smallest room in the keep made even smaller by the fact that you dragged in a giant copper bathtub.
You raised a very busy flag up the flagpole and the next morning the staff of Bog 2 gratefully returned home. Establishing the Order of the Compass and Crow united a young man named Bulge while Mrs. Divitt got to work building out your bastion's special facilities. A distillery for brewing magical whiskey, a rookery for deepening your connection to the birds, and a sanctuary for contemplating the gods erotically or not.
With your new home established, your hirelings employed and your bathtub safely in a different room. You turned your attention back to Longus Tom and the mystery of the Second Org. Welly, you discovered an old carving in a table depicting a road through the bog where none exist, and you made a plan to cross Lake Imogene to see where it leads. That is where we are now.
Caldwell Tanner (3:37)
Welly, I suppose that of all of us, you might have the most experience on watercraft. Can you propel us forward?
Emily Axford (3:44)
Absolutely. I mean, honestly, though we were called the Order of the Oaken Ore, and we did do some lake kayaking, I will confess that we did way more wading.
Brian Murphy (3:59)
Oh, you did more worshiping of the ore than using it.
Emily Axford (4:03)
Yeah, so the ore that we were worshiping, we thought that there wasn't another one. So what do you do with one ore? Well, I guess you can still go. See, I should have known.
We did a lot more sort of wading into the waters.
Caldwell Tanner (4:18)
Contemplating, meditating.
Emily Axford (4:20)
Fishing with a net.
Caldwell Tanner (4:21)
Indeed. Okay, so you're saying you don't know what to do.
Brian Murphy (4:25)
We'll figure it out.
Emily Axford (4:26)
I know the river well.
Caldwell Tanner (4:28)
Ah, well, that's a perfect first step.
Emily Axford (4:30)
And I feel like that will translate to a lake.
Caldwell Tanner (4:32)
Do we need to give reverence to our ores? Would that make you feel better?
Emily Axford (4:37)
It would.
Caldwell Tanner (4:38)
Boggy kisses each of the ores as he dips them under the water.
