Should You Target These Players In Fantasy Football Drafts?

Which of these players on the same roster should you draft at their current ADPs, at that current cost?
That is what we're gonna talk about today on RotoViz Overtime. I am Colm Kelly, I am joined by Kevin Szafraniec, rotoviz.com writer. Kevin has a tremendous series up on rotoviz.com at the moment where he's working through each division and then working through each team in that division. So we're going to talk today a little bit about the NFC West and some of the kind of conundrums I'll call them where I'm like, this player is interesting, that player is interesting, how should we be playing it in our fantasy football drafts at their differences in ADP and where the advantages are to be had. We're going to do a little bit of a conversation on, which I think is a very interesting division later this week when we talk about the AFC South. There's a lot of players at very similar costs on similar rosters or on the same roster where taking those players and drafting them could mean a massive difference to how your fantasy football season goes. So that is what we're going to talk about today. Kevin, obviously you're diving into the series. You have at this point two divisions up in the two that I have referenced here. You're planning to work your way through all the divisions prior to the start of the NFL season. You're probably planning to do it much sooner than that. But you've been pumping out a lot of great stuff up on RotoViz over the last couple of years, but particularly in the off season here. But how have you been finding this series in particular so far? I know when we talk and you do some of these series, you're always, you know, you enjoy the little bits of things that maybe you didn't expect to stumble upon as you work your way through it.

Yeah, it's kind of almost like, I don't want to say upgrade, but almost like a revision of kind of the team preview series that I did last summer. So for people that enjoyed that, kind of getting like a lot of the same data in that. It's not so much like that. That was like, I'd say pretty comprehensive, you know, covered defense and a lot of other things.

Yeah. So this is kind of like a step back as far as like the defense isn't featured as much, but you still get a lot of like the pace tool, the team splits app, a lot of SIS stats. One of my favorite things about doing this is really just jumping into SIS stats about offensive lines. That's always helpful. It adds another layer that we aren't always talking about. It just gives a little more context as far as like, what are these lines good at? What are they not good at? And it also incorporates the off season additions. So, but we're just kind of, it's almost like reframing it in a different way, whereas opposed to where it was like very structured last year where it was like this section, this, you know, and it just went, worked its way down. Now it's, I kind of divided up into like the best and worst picks on each. So essentially just going through every single player with an ADP on each team and saying like, if I think they're a good pick or a bad pick and kind of attacking it from that angle this summer. So, but yeah, at the end of the day, we're going to be going through every single team in the league before the season starts. It's, I mean, I love it. It's great. And I'd say I've already uncovered a bunch of stuff. It's already changed my mind on a few different players. So it's a great series. I mean, and I feel like if I'm getting a lot out of it, I would hope that readers are as well.

And you mentioned changing your mind. Maybe we'll be able to change some of the listeners minds today or maybe even reinforce some of the opinions that maybe they already hold. The one I want to start off with, I think we have a clear lead back if we're looking in terms of ADP, we have the running back in a 16 range in terms of Kyren Williams. We also have Blake Corum going in at or be kind of zoned off drafts in the ninth round at running back in around 24 or so.
