Craig Carton (0:00)

Yeah, yeah, yeah, what's up, SNY?

On a beautiful Tuesday, the only city in America with not one but two undefeated football teams. Jets and Giants are both one and oh. Quick little look-see at the expectations for this weekend's games. Obviously, the New York Giants wait till Monday night to play the Winless Rams. And as we sit here today, Europe's starting New York Giants, still a touchdown underdog, okay? New York Jets coming back to MetLife Stadium for the home opener against the Green Bay Packers. Packers 0-1 after their embarrassing loss to Carson Wentz and the Minnesota Vikings. And the Jets and Piltons are underdogged by 3.5.

Chris McMonigle (0:44)

You know what's funny?

Craig Carton (0:46)

What's funny? That the Jets for the second consecutive week are smaller underdogs than the Giants?

Chris McMonigle (0:51)

No, exactly right, because I want to, you like to play this game. First of all, I'm seeing, what did you say?

I see 4.5. But okay, I'm seeing 4.5.

Craig Carton (0:58)

No, it's not.

Chris McMonigle (0:59)

And here's the- Well, what site are you on? I'm on multiple sites.

Craig Carton (1:03)

I'm on cbssports.com.

SPEAKER_3 (1:04)

It says 3.5.

Chris McMonigle (1:05)

No, no, you're wrong.

Craig Carton (1:06)

Okay.

Chris McMonigle (1:07)

Here's my point, no, here's my point.

SPEAKER_3 (1:09)

You want to settle it for?

Chris McMonigle (1:10)

You want to play this, let's settle it for then. You like, you played this game last week, and you're like, oh, is it more embarrassing that you're at home against the, let me ask you a question.

Craig Carton (1:18)

Go ahead.

Chris McMonigle (1:18)

All right, I know the Rams lost.

SPEAKER_3 (1:20)

Yes, they did.

Chris McMonigle (1:20)

They got beat up. But it's the Rams. The Green Bay Packers embarrassed themselves.

Craig Carton (1:25)

They blew a lead in the fourth quarter to the Vikings.

SPEAKER_3 (1:27)

Yeah, they were up big, by the way.

Chris McMonigle (1:29)

To whom? Carson Wentz.

Craig Carton (1:30)

Carson Wentz and the Vikings.

Chris McMonigle (1:32)

They embarrassed themselves in Minnesota. And now they're going on the road, and the Jets are at home, and they're only two and a half point less dogs than the Giants against the Super Bowl favorite on the road across the country.

Craig Carton (1:46)

I thought the Giants are Super Bowl champions this year. The Giants are starting a ten year run of at least ten wins, you said.

Chris McMonigle (1:51)

Yeah, something like that.

SPEAKER_3 (1:52)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (1:53)

And they're a touchdown underdog.

SPEAKER_3 (1:54)

Yes.

Craig Carton (1:55)

What good team in the history of football has ever been a touchdown underdog?

Chris McMonigle (1:59)

What good team is the four and a half point underdog at home, four and a half point underdog at home, to a Packers team that doesn't have their star running back, doesn't have their best defensive player, and gave up 50 points to Carson Wentz in the fourth quarter?

Craig Carton (2:12)

The Bills were in a playoff game two years ago. Next question.

Chris McMonigle (2:15)

Excuse me?

Craig Carton (2:16)

The Bills were two and a half point underdogs to the Chiefs in the playoffs two years ago.

Chris McMonigle (2:20)

The Bills?

Craig Carton (2:21)

Yeah, I just answered your question. So what other questions do you have?

SPEAKER_3 (2:24)

Winner!

Chris McMonigle (2:26)

What do the Bills have to do with this?

Craig Carton (2:27)

You said what good team is underdogged by two and a half, three points at home.

Chris McMonigle (2:32)

Four and a half points at home.

SPEAKER_3 (2:33)

Well, here it says here three and a half.

Chris McMonigle (2:34)

No, to a team. Yeah.

Craig Carton (2:35)

So the answer is the Bills.

Chris McMonigle (2:36)

To a team that lost to Carson and gave up, what, 30 points in the fourth quarter to Carson Wentz without their star, without their running back, and without their best defensive player.

Craig Carton (2:45)

Embarrassing performance in the fourth quarter. Not the refs had a little something to do with it, but yeah. Packers embarrass themselves.

Chris McMonigle (2:50)

Packers four and a half points favorites on the road without their running back, without their best defensive player.

SPEAKER_3 (2:54)

You're just going to take shots at the Jets?

Chris McMonigle (2:55)

I'm not taking shots.

SPEAKER_3 (2:56)

I'm just saying. You do what you got to do.

Chris McMonigle (2:57)

You wanted to play this game last week, and I'm curious which one speaks more to you.

Craig Carton (3:01)

For people that weren't listening maybe last week, what I said was, and as I was poking fun at the Bear a little bit, it was interesting to me that the Jets were smaller underdogs on the road than the Giants were at home. That's a talking point.
