Live from SEC media days, joining me is ESPN's Dari Nowkhah to talk a little SEC football. Dari, we heard from the commissioner this morning. He was very, we're the SEC, and we're better than you. 80,000 on average to every, which is really an amazing stat. I have the second most attended sports niche anywhere in the world is SEC football.
But there were a lot of questions this morning about that nine game conference schedule. We heard from Eli this morning. He had some criticisms of it, right? Lane has had some criticisms from it. We're going to hear from him this week. But talk to me about that nine game conference schedule in your mind. Good or bad for the SEC?

**Dari Nowkhah** (3:13)
I think it's good, honestly. I think it's good as long as the Playoff Selection Committee shows and proves in the way that it votes at the end of the season that playing that ninth game helps the league and does not hinder the league or helps the teams in the league that are in the conversation and doesn't hinder the teams in the league that are in that conversation. But I think it's more than just the nine games. I think we talk a lot about that. It's also the mandate of a tenth game against another Power Four team. So you are playing a minimum of ten games against Power Four teams. And I think that is significant.
But they are doing this depending upon that Playoff Selection Committee to live up to its word, which is we are going to honor schedule strength. Your schedule strength just got better. We are going to honor that. And I think that's maybe one of the most interesting things to kind of wait and see at the end of the regular season is do they live up to that word. Because I don't know how much they did last year and I think that was certainly at least in the regular season voting.
It didn't necessarily reflect it. Now, keeping Alabama where they did at the end of the SEC Championship game, I thought was interesting and probably winning the SEC's favor there. But that's, I think it's a really good thing as long as it doesn't hurt them when it comes to getting in.

**Mike G** (4:29)
Yeah, it's just so interesting to me, right? I had a chance to sit down with Greg Senke at media days when this was being talked about. I said, are we going to move to nine conference games? He said, it depends on the data. And I know what that means. What helps my league get more people into the playoff, right? Is what it depends on. ESPN released an FBI.
